What should I do with this mayor's Bam?

I hope this is the right place to post this.

Back in June, I offered to hold Bam for someone while they restarted their town. However, they haven't been active since after passing out their dreamies to people. They did tell me that they were ready for him at one point but he never pinged back while I tried to push him out.

Now, I want to restart that town and use it. But I still have this Mayor's Bam. I don't know what I should do. I am willing to keep him, because he's adorable, but I don't want to get attached to him and have them come back.

What should I do?

I'd say you should give him to someone else to hold? Then tell this "Mayor" the story and who is holding him?

You should just keep him, it's kind of ridiculous to wait that long. That is, unless they paid you to keep him or something... then I would wait a little longer
