I'm just curious to hear other fans thoughts. We've gone from a forest/village, to a city, to an island. What do you think could be next? What do you think would be interesting?

I personally think a return to the forest/village scenario would have a lot of charm and with the newer art style would give the game a great mood. While I felt personally that the city from City Folk was a little tacked on, it is something I'd like to see return and be expounded upon as well.

Maybe a re-release in HD of an old game?
Or maybe animal Crossing in space?

God forbid we get another amiibo festival

I think a remake of the first game *could* have potential but I'd also be worried that it would lose some of its charm. Definitely would be nice to be able to play the original with a good inventory system though.

I’d love if we got the option to pick the terrain/environment our town resided in. Mountains, jungle, forest, desert, etc. It would make it more fun to explore other towns on multiplayer as well to see what each type of terrain has to offer!

I'm not a fan of the tropical island theme and prefer the forest theme in NL more so maybe something more similar to that, or like somewhere with really high altitude haha

Next, we'll go to space and finally meet those aliens that like to be on television at 3:33 am. I can't wait! I honestly have no idea where the game will go next. I felt like after New Leaf we'd probably be offered a different job. Maybe Animal Crossing: Rural Living.

That's a good question! It seems like they always place us in an area that has your typical AC layout map (Trees, beach, grass, road, eyc.) It would be cool if they actually stepped out of their comfort zone and perhaps dabbled with something different.

I know that they already did ACCF, however, the city we went to was only a place that you could visit and see. It would be cool if an option to live in either the country (AC format we have now but with more space, less tress, and many ponds), the wild forest (older AC format with a huge lake instead of a beach and much more different trees) or the city (beach is now located here) was an option!

If you choose the country side, your map could have more land that's easier to work/build with but in return, not so many trees and you have multiple ponds and a small lake)

If you choose the forest, your map would have a ton of huge oak trees along with the typical old AC trees and pine trees (Much harder to build because of the trees and rocks, as you don't have as much space as the country, but you get a large fresh water lake)

If you choose the city, you have access to much more stores as opposed as the other two (in which the other two will still get stores but the player must eventually build/unlock them whereas the city already has stores) and you have a beach at the coast.

Perhaps we could also have villagers work behind actual stores now where we, the villager, can sell items through so when other players visit, they can purchase from our own customized stores with items we set in it with prices.

There could villager mediators and we can also now have a meter telling how happy the villagers are overall. Villagers can also leave feedback again by asking you what they think they want for their home (almost like ACHHA) Also depending on your map, you can attract certain villagers whose tastes are preferred by which layout they like (some like the city, others the forest, and some country) All villagers can be received of course but there will be certain ones that are easier to get depending on the terrain chosen.

Each major character (Tom Nook, Redd, Cyrus, Reese, Isabelle etc.) will look differently according to the map you chose to fit the style. Your role in this game consists of you coming in as a chosen architect with a dream to create a well functioning society by building and modeling stores, homes, and otherwise creating a place where villagers can be happy. Homes will also be modified by the map you choose. You have the ability to have full control of the gameplay and map (as usual) Because the maps are all different, catching fish and bugs will be different depending on which you choose.

Actually, I don't think this would do very well the more I read it...🤣 It will probably be way too stressful.

OUR OWN PLANET.

We take off in a ship, land on a planet, and terraform it. By terraform I mean actually change the atmosphere. Turn a dusty rock in to a flourishing environment. It would be the biggest map yet in the animal crossing series. Villagers crash land on the planet and you can either help them repair their ship so they can leave, or convince them to stay

Totally dig the space theme ♥️

Maybe like a isolated mountain Village? I think it would be rather scenic and would work as a good opposite of the island theme in New Horizons
