I bought a load of stuff last night and it's currently being slowly moved from my station to my house (and causing a right mess!!). In order to have these things cataloged, do I just need to pick them up? Or do I need to click on their name plate? I need to slowly start selling things to Re-Tail but only once I know I've cataloged them so I can get them back at a later date!

You just need to have held the item in your pockets at some point. You can pick it up and put it right back down and it'll be in your catalog.

Make sure to check MoriDB before you sell off your items. There's actually a good bit of non-reorderable items in this game. If the items are all from Timmy/Tommy and Able Sisters, then you'll mostly be fine. But there's still some Timmy/Tommy non-reorderable items like the lawn mower and sprinkler, as well as the fortune cookie items.

If an item is non-reorderable, it won't have a little book symbol next to the purchase price (or won't have a purchase price listed at all).

Also, keep in mind that MoriDB is wrong for some things (like it claims the turkey is re-orderable... it's not), but for the most part it's right.

So the fact I've picked it up from the station and then displayed it in my home is fine? :3

I love MoriDB so much x3x It's so helpful! I use that along with an ACNL app on iPhone. I love them both xD I didn't know about the book thing! That's really handy to know! I know the basic sets 'alpine, blue, stripe, cabin etc) are re-orderable so they'll be sold right away unless I need them. Other than that I usually write a list and check at Nook's just to be sure :3!

Thank you so much!

If the item is wrapped, you need to un-wrap it for it to be added to your catalog. I bought something from Gracie (gets wrapped automatically) and then gave it to my other mayor character (I have 2 games/2 towns) without unwrapping it. Later I found that the item I bought didn't show in my catalog. So I had to get it back from the other town just to catalog it.

What about if you hold something in another town? Will it then get added to your catalog?
