What's the deal with Dark Candy?

The shop description says that it's not sold there,but 3 people have bought it already when I hover over it.
If I come across it,why do I give it to someone else as quickly as possible?
And why shouldn't I discard it?
I'm pretty confuzzled.What's the huge deal about it?And where can I find it?

EDIT:It says it's not giftable.So how would I give it to someone else?
