Whenever I join an interesting website like this one, I always like to learm how it started, and the original mods, and big events in the history of the place, things like that. I'm a big history fanatic. Can someone who has been here for a long time explain a little of it?

tbt 1.0! I was looking for that! It said lots of people i know are sage! But they have no green name like Gnome!

Zeta TBT had colored usernames for everyone based off of your post count. So going off of colors on there is a bit unreliable.

wow all of you! I feel like Justin too as he was not a admin or mod of tbt 1.0!

Justin was not promoted last year to admin, if I remember correctly.

Edit: If that's what you meant. I'm not sure what that exactly means :p.

Well, we switched the site over to vB in 2011. So it's been a few years.

TBT really had it's big surge in activity last year when New Leaf came out, hence the need for new staff. And since the site is so active we host events to keep everyone interested.

As far as history goes it depends on what anyone wants to know in particular.

As someone who was never partial to Zetaboards but who has been to quite a few, I have to say the old TBT is one of the better looking forums I have seen on that software.

On November 23, 2008 I joined TBT and began my quest for world domination.

I can tell you how TBT started.

"In the beginning Bells created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of Bells was moving over the surface of the waters.…"

It looks like Comatose was the last person to post on the "Last poster wins!" thread. Someone oughta tell him.

Old man Jeremy is here. Make sure to listen carefully to his senile tales

this has been an eye-opening experience. dem zeta boards...

It's almost ten years old, so it's a long history and I can go on about it for a long time, but when it started we all came from the official Nintendo forums called NSider (which has since shut down due to NOA restructuring). They had an Animal Crossing board called The Crossing Guardian and I had a popular thread called The Animal Crossing Ask Center (ACAC). We all came from there. Probably the only people that the current active members have heard of are Mino and Justin, although they weren't made staff until many years later. But Bulerias and Smarth_Tech_Dragon_15 (mostly Bulerias) were the two primary people who helped me start the forum and were also our second and third admins. And this leads us to early 2005, not even close to the TBT you're all looking at, so yeah... there's a lot.

Before ZetaBoards, we were on InvisionFree (IPB 1.3), as all ZetaBoards forums originally were. We had a lot of different themes though. That is only one of them, which had three different season. Most of them had four, actually. One of our themes also had time-changing banners, which was a pretty big deal back then. ƒish, the moderator, designed a lot of them as well and he was very creative with them. Some day it would be nice to recreate them for vB, but I think we may have lost most of them.

Okay, now I'm curious about JeremyBot. I think this will be my lunch break entertainment tomorrow.

That was just used to convert the posts to vB.

I feel like this origin story deserves some kind of hollywood dramatisation. Going to tip Hugo Weaving for the star role of Jeremy.

Nominate Tina to direct. This is going to be just like the Social Network and Jobs only not ****.
