To anyone who successfully kicked a villager out: how and when? I have 10 right now and no one is budging.

i think that you simply have to stop talking with the animal in any way and report them to isabelle.

one of my villagers (which i def dislike) said how she wanted to move out of my town , and didn't talk to her at all for days.

maybe reporting them to isabelle could make them go away easier.

Where are you in the game? Like how many villagers do you have, did you get KK, etc?

by the time that villager asked to move out i was at 2 stars and i was at 8 villagers
Thank you! Very helpful. One more question: Did you ignore only her? Like did you talk to every other villager but her? Or did you ignore her and others?

A villager of mine just moved out yesterday. I hit her on the head with a net/pushed her a few times and just ignored her and she asked to move out within a week or so. I had 9 villagers, now I have 8. She had a thought bubble over her head and told me that she was considering moving out and I told her yes, and with that, she was in boxes the next day.

Thanks! Hopefully somebody moves out soon.

Good luck. I've been ignoring two villagers while talking to all of the others for over a week and neither of the two I want out have budged. Instead, I had Erik with the thought bubble and had to convince him to stay.

and report them to isabelle.

Same as with past games, reporting villagers does nothing for your relationship with them.

You have 2 options

1. Report their catchphrases
2. Report their clothing.

I'll briefly explain the difference. Since catchphrases can be player made, as well as clothing, it's possible for villagers to go around using profanity and slurs.

* If a villager moves to your town from another, and brings foul language with them, report it to Isabelle and the game will set that catchphrase to the villager's default.

* If a villager moves to your town from another, and brings with them some kind of clothing that can be suggestive or foul, report it to Isabelle and the game will set the villager's clothing to default.

is there really no easier way to do it? T_T i don't want ANY of my current villagers, and i want to be able to move people in... does anyone know what happens if you go to an island or get an amiibo when you already have 10 villagers? do they just not move in? or can you force someone out?

You likely need to city a certain number of villagers before they start moving on their own like in New Leaf.
For amiibos, you will need a full town to start replacing them manually.
