So I've been learning the violin for 9 months now and I've been wanting to join a beginner orchestra but haven't really been able to find one that I was comfortable paying to join (since I wasn't aware that you had to pay to join, I didn't prepare myself for that), especially since most require you to audition and I have major performance anxiety. I couldn't really find one that was truly for beginners and would just let you join regardless lol. Anyway, yesterday, the thought came back to my mind and I told myself that maybe I just didn't search hard enough, and besides, paying some money to get orchestral experience would be worth it anyway. So I searched again. And I clicked the first one... And the subtitle read:
And it just suddenly feels like I'm meant to join! Anyway, I'll have to change my schedule around to be able to go. I'll have to bring my music stand, violin, a big binder and my purse (wallet, keys, 3ds etc - yes, I'll be bringing my 3ds LOL) and it's a long bus ride in the rainy season. I can't imagine how difficult that commute would be for me >.< And I don't drive unfortunately. So I'll have to see if my boyfriend can get Mondays off in his next schedule, so he can take me there. I'll have to take Mondays off too, which I hate the idea of since I want to work my full 5 days a week. It's part of why I've held myself back from joining other activities, because I work weekdays and I wasn't willing to give a day up because I like the money LOL. But I'm literally just a server. No one is going to die without me. These opportunities are more important for my future than making some extra cash.
Anyway, finding the words New Horizons related to an orchestra just feels right. Like it's a sign. And I'm not even a spiritual person who believes in these things. I know it's just a coincidence and yet, it just FEELS like it's telling me I should take the risk and join. Anyway, I'm super excited! I hope my managers let me take Mondays off and that my boyfriend gets it off too when he signs up for work next. ^_^
Anyway, just wanted to share! Has anyone ever received a "sign" from the universe like this? I'd love to hear about it!
