In the process of placing the three neighbour houses, and popped to an island and found Marina, my absolute #1 dreamie since WW (never even had her in NL!) Invited her to my town and sounds like she's coming - however next new spot apparently reserved for Peggy - when and where will Marina live?! Please and thank you :)

If you invited her, she'll be in one of the 3 houses you end up plotting. you won't actually see her name on the house until you have placed all of the furniture. congratulations so much on getting your dreamy! I can only imagine your happiness upon finding her on an island >.<

Peggy is a peppy villager, Marina is a Normal villager. Her home should be a different plot.

Apparently the order of house plots are: Lazy (1), Peppy (2), and Normal (3).

Great thanks! Marina is indeed the third, now I've finished all the 3 villager plots! Curious - what would have happened if the dreamie I'd chosen to move in wasn't any of those personalities? Would they have moved in 4th, or what? As of now I've chosen the 3 plots and crafted the necessary furnishings, and they all have names assigned, #3 being Marina <3 Can I change 1 and 2 and if so how? No big deal if not anyway! And if I happen to visit another island and find a dreamie can they still move inn 4th, 5th, etc? Please and thanks!

When you're placing the three plots for your first three villager move-ins, the only personalities you'll find on the islands will be Lazy, Peppy, and Normal.

Your 6th villager will be a Smug that you get while progressing through the story. You're forced to take whoever he is, and it's completely random. After that, you can build plots for more villagers. Once you build plots, villagers will start appearing on the mystery islands again, and they can be any personality type. Be aware that if you don't find someone quick, a random villager may claim the plot you build.

You can change out villagers you don't like when they decide to move out. Alternatively, I've heard you can use any villager in the campsite (amiibo or game-spawned random camper) to force-swap with a villager of your choice.

Confirming that an Amiibo can be used to force-swap out a villager.

For a normal (non-Amiibo) campsite visitor, they agreed to swap out with someone, but in my case they picked who will be kicked out, not me. The visitor basically said something along the lines of, "Oh I'll replace XXXX, they said they're willing to move out." then it's up to you to agree or not.

Thanks for the clarification! Regardless, it's still an option if there are more villagers you want to get rid of vs ones you want to keep. :)

Thanks so much! This is interesting as currently other villagers claimed plots 1 and 2 and Marina took 3. However only Marina's moved in so far and since, the two trips I've taken to the island, the first was a spiral shaped river with just rocks (one gave me all iron) and the second island was a bamboo island - the first 'special' islands I've seen, can only wonder if this is because regular islands won't show up as I have no available villager slots rn - wonder if this gives a higher chance of special islands then, or just a coincidence? Cheers :)

^this is what happened to me. Marina was my second villager to move in, but she took the third plot. I only invited two villagers from the island so that’s why I’m sure.
