Where do you guys get oc art?

Right, I hope this is in the right place! Here goes ^~^
I have an idea for a new oc! However I can't draw digitally/normally at all. It all really sucks and looks bad and weird! So I need to find someone who could draw it! But I have zero refs. So how do you guys do things? Do you just make a thread describing the oc? Or do you just draw up a quick sketch and make a request thread? I'm kinda confused so any help would be appreciated! Sorry for such bad question!

Pretty much what you said, it works both ways.

Could describe said character to someone or provide a rough sketch of what you'd want and hopefully someone can make it a reality, however TBT users are mainly getting new OC's from adopt shops.

Yeah, I have a few adopts but I have an idea of my own! Later I might make a description thread or something.... I'll see how this goes first!

Best thing to do would be to describe it in as much detail as you can and commission it from an artist. There are many shops open, so I'm sure you'll find someone with an art style that you like to draw if for you c:

Pretty much what everyone else has said. First time commissioning an oc, I recommend finding refs of certain details to help the artist. For example, if you want a certain hairstyle/outfit/facial features/etc. It really helps a lot to add photos of what you have in mind.

After you get your oc drawn out, then you can make a ref sheet for future commissions.
