Where is the top of my fountain?

I assume you just drop your axe, or press A near the front of your fountain?

no, i already tried that, and it doesnt do anything. It jusyt drops my axe under my feet, or it assumes a "miss" swing.

Yea, I think you have to stand in a certain position, not just anywhere randomly around the fountain.

i DID do that though, and nothings happening. Thensome--there is no TOP to my fountain! All the pictures i seen has like some kind of mouse figure on top, this one doesnt.

LOL The mouse is the spirit that appears when you throw in your axe silly.

There is no top or any statue on the town fountain. The statue is on the fountain in the city, the town fountain has none. You have to stand directly in front of it facing it, you should see your character's back, and swing your axe. It DOES work...

On he ct of throwing sharp objects at odd figured mice in gypsy outfits, i wish i could take my other axe and toss it right at her head. -_-

Yeah it sucks. The chance that you will get a silver or gold axe is actually very low...just keep throwing it in once every day. I suggest buying any axe Nook sells, whether you have one or not.
