Which animal species would you like to see added to the game?

Definitely more reptiles!
Snakes (I’m sure they could figure it out) would look cute with their little :3 mouths, and maybe some different lizards.

I’ve also seen some art for moth villagers that looked very nice, it would be interesting to have a bug villager as well

Bugs, especially butterfly villagers, would be cute. And I second female lions. There are female tigers, bears and cubs, and cows and bulls.

Rats! They could have a really funky design, bigger and a bit chunkier than the mice. Bats are also a good call.

I'd love any other species than we already have. I LOVE the bat pictures above so im going to say bats. But all of the ideas in this thread are brilliant. I would need more than 10 villager slots on my island though, please Nintendo.

Foxes! It's only fitting. I was thinking about the idea of ocean species other than octopus being villagers, like crabs or something, but that could get complicated.

I feel like lions were all male as a way of mirroring how kangaroos were all female, but... We've gotten male kangaroos now, so we really do need female lions. My only issue with that would be... How would they be unique? The model would probably just be too similar to the tiger model.

Unrelated but speaking of species... I kinda wish animals would have their specific species inspiration in their code. Like, as it is, Tucker will call himself an elephant. But we all know he's using the elephant model in a way that makes him look like a mammoth. Let his programming show that he is a mammoth! The same goes for literally every ostrich. Almost NONE of them are true ostriches. Phil comes up to me all the time saying something like "a little ostrich told me..." And really he should say pheasant. Idk, it's a pedantic thing but they have clear inspirations.

Part of me wishes they'd fill out more of the existing species first, there's so many species missing personality types and many can't even reach a 1 species island cause there simply isn't even 10 of them!

So i think my choice is Lioness since that'd both be a new species and help out a existing one.

Though of course many of the ideas in this thread sound wonderful, like Bats and Seals!

Tortoises and turtles. I don't see why not since we already have Tortimer, Kapp'n and family in previous games.

I'd love to see owls, foxes, marine animals (dolphins, sharks, seals etc)! The bats also look absolutely adorable!
