Which do you find more horrifying?

For me, I say scorpions. I haven’t seen a tarantula yet but one night, as I was running through the island picking up stuff to sell and unknowingly angered a scorpion. Once I noticed it, I sped up and frantically tried to escape it. Agent S called out my name as I ran past her, and as soon as she saw the scorpion she had the shocked reaction. I ran past the plaza and attempted to grab my net, but was too late and was stabbed by the nefarious bug.

Without patience, the tarantulas are easier to read. Scorpions are slightly trickier

I chose tarantula, specifically because my partners terrified of spiders.... and as resident spider catcher I *hate* unexpectedly stumbling upon spiders I've only experienced scorpions twice so far and have been stung twice -_- yet to catch either

Tarantula for sure since spiders freak me the heck out. Though scorpions are also terrifying. Tbh, I'd be more scared of a scorpion irl but for the game, tarantula.

I'd personally be more terrified of a scorpion because of the way they look and that I have never seen them in real life. I'm still horrified by tarantulas, but not as much.

i like them both but! the other night i had just started playing and i ran beside a tree and a scorpion was hiding behind it and ran out and got me! i didnt even see the little sucker; and what Really stinks is that once youve been hit by one they disappear so you cant exact netty revenge on the hideous beasts.

I said scorpions, only because the tarantulas are so much cuter ☺ They're so fuzzy! One of my side characters had one as a pet and I totally imagined her walking it around on a leash.

i don't like scorpions because there are some that will kill you irl so I hate seeing a scorpion. also lots of PTSD from wild world and it's difficulty to catch a scorpion or tarantula.

I hate spiders but the idea of one of your villagers walking a tarantula on a leash DOES sound cute!

They’d probably both horrify me in real life but in the game the tarantulas scare me more, they’ve attacked me in the game more often the scorpions and it’s probably not helped by my big fear of spiders. To be fair to them though @Serabee has made them seem a bit less intimidating with the idea of them been a friendly island companion

Tarantulas! I've been stung by them more than Scorpions, and their dark color helps them blend in. Those buggers get me every time.

I voted scorpions because they always seem to be hiding behind trees when I run past. They’re pretty good at jump scaring me late at night.

I vote scorpion. I agree with @Bethboj they hide behind trees. I was on a mystery island looking for material net in hand in case I found a wasp. Was about to catch the wasp when a scorpion bit me from behind a tree.

People will say tarantula, because arachnophobia is a thing. But the real horror is scorpions. I feel like they’re faster, and don’t forget that they are also shiny black, but with hair too. Oh, and they can kill you irl.

neither are scary. I grew up wanting a tarantula and being chased by spiders, which may be why, but scorpions can be spooky if they appear out of nowhere. I mean, I guess most things are spookier when they appear out of nowhere. I'm still going to say scorpion though.

Scorpions take the cake for me here. The stinger on the end just freaks me out. The whole quick movement is just unnerving. Hope I never encounter one irl
