Its because you walk that same way to much, no ways have been found to stop it.
But there are ways or regrowing grass. By planting flowers and trees a lot, grass is said to grow back, eventually. It's supposed to be a realistic plant-life simulation. I guess that's appreciatable.

i'm, uh...kind of skeptical of the other responses to this thread.

it's this edition of AC's version of making it seem more realistic. you will see more grass grow in the spring/summer seasons because that is when grass actually grows back. i think that it makes sense to be planting more trees/flowers right now to make more money and gain a better town regardless. once winter hits, everything will be covered in snow, so...the patches will be covered too. it's the circle of life.

just saying.

It's been stated by the designer himself that when you walk over grass it will eventually form a path. Grass doesn't go away in Winter and Fall, the cold weather just keeps it from overgrowing.

Well Tola said it for me. How come the trees in Autunm arn't as orange as in ACWW
I believe that fruit trees are that magenta color, and non-fruit bearing trees are orange/brownish.

Money trees, however, have me puzzled. I wish they were gold.

but how is this noticeable after a week's worth of playing?

i mean... if it's true, that's kind of impressive that they would go such lengths and detail.

It has been suggested that it should take at least 2 weeks to occur at all, so don't ask me why it's wrong. I guess it's "great detail" and all, but they sure missed a lot of other opportunities to go into detail.

you're right, i feel like every review that's been put out since release of CF has said that and i agree. they had 4 years to improve upon WW, and there have been so many missed opportunities.

though... i do like the bank account before debt has been paid off. :)

Not walking, running. If you run in an area in the fall and winter to much the grass starts to fade. But you can run all you want in the spring and summer. I've heard rummers that if you plant lots of flowers you can regrow grass though

Someone on youtube just told me that if you plant flowers not only does the grass grow back quicker it becomes much stronger, and walking over it does ruin it just not as fast :p I think.. XD

Just so you guys know, I had planted ALOT of flowers in an area I made intentionally the other day and no grass has even yet to begin growing.

I'm gonna have to find a time traveler to check and see how things operate in other seasons.
