Why are the amiibo cards so expensive in Europe?

So in Europe, for a pack of 3 cards (1 special, 2 normal), you pay 5? which is about $5,50. And you guys in the US get a pack of 6 cards for around that price, right? Why are the cards so much more expensive in Europe? I don't get it. You can imagine it takes forever to get all the normal villager cards when you only get 2 per pack.

You'd think the foil cards would be harder to collect.
I really don't know which are worth more. The SP cards or the Villager cards.

Because the GBP and Euro are so expensive when compared to other currencies, simple as thst

In the UK packets are normally around ?3.50 which is about $5.40 and 4.91 euro. I think Europe should have the 6 pack of amiibo cards.

1. I'm in the US and would rather buy them in packs of 3- I have zero interest in collecting all the regular villagers, but I would like to collect all the special characters, so getting only 2 extra cards that I might not want seems a lot more appealing than getting 5 extra.

2. 5? does sound pretty high- I thought they were going for somewhere in the 3~ range, like SensaiGallade mentions.

3. I understand the appeal of converting the currencies to make your claim seem stronger, but due to differences in wages/cost of living/national economy/etc. $5 is worth about the same to me/will buy me the same amount of stuff as 5? does to you, or ?5 does to someone in the UK.
