He's got a cute design, personality and house. To be honest, people don't need a reason to take interest in a villager. Why do you like Diana? She's just as overrated as Marshal is.

As for marshal, my opinion is mostly neutral. Though I like how his name gives him a "marshmallow" theme of sorts, while also being a military term for high-ranked officers. Double pun names ftw.

Of course all my favorite smug villagers are the most hated it seems, so what do I know.

I just like him because he's cute, and I just love smug villagers, don't see why it matter who people like, yet some people on here can't seem to stand the fact not everyone likes the same villagers, I mean come on.. It is just a game.
