no matter how good of a deal i give my threads ALWAYS get pushed to the bottom and 90% never even get 1 reply, is there something im doing wrong, I don't understand why nobody trades with me. I want to trade with people for TBT bells and nobody even responds, i just get ignored everywhere.

it could just be traffic- if your thread has many others like it (i.e how many people sell rosie the cat or are selling valentines roses) people are usually just going to go to the ones they see first. it sucks, definitely, but it just depends who's looking to buy. nobody is purposely ignoring you i'm sure

I took a look at your newest sales thread and I don't think you're doing anything wrong, sometimes it takes awhile to find people to trade with (you didn't bump your thread at all after you first posted it).

HELLO!! this is Matty's massive blowout, I have way too many items in my towns so I am holding a huge blowout, I will not be setting prices, you make an offer and I will reply to you, I am desperate to get rid of these items so PLEASE help me earn a bit of TBT and get rid of some items

HUNDREDS of assorted streetpass items ( tweeters, ice cream, pinwheels, balloons etc ) I have multiples of everything,
If you want something just ask.

HUNDREDS of assorted bushes and trees, again I have almost everything ( no hibiscus though ) just ask and I'll give you a great deal if you buy in bulk.
I am in DESPERATE Need of getting rid of these items so please reply and I'll pm you

All trades will be done from my CANADA town, I can either drop off or let you pick up its your choice,
And just so you know you can trust me I will give you your items and you can pay me AFTER you receive your items. I'm 100% trustworthy because of that policy. You can pay me after the items have been saved to your town.

Please I really need help getting rid of these items, please help me.

Things I notice about your sales thread that might influence the amount of buyers:
-Lots of text, I do the same thing when I'm trying to make selling threads lol I've found you should try to be concise when you're making a trading post, a lot of people will see text walls and just turn around
-You don't list the exact items you have, it's easy enough for people to ask "do you have [x] amount of this item" or whatever but it's faster if you just name what you've got
-No set prices, obviously you don't have to do this but another thing I noticed is a lot of buyers don't like making offers and are more likely to bite on a trade quickly if you name the price you're looking for (even a range would help)

anyway that's just my thoughts from my experiences trading, you don't have to listen to any of it hahah

I also have had a look at your shop thread. You most certainly have covered every eventuality in the text and everything is explained beautifully, unfortunately the majority of people browsing the marketplace threads I think may well be put off by the volumn of text and probably never get further than reading the first few lines.

You also are offering an exchange rate for in game versus BTB bells hidden in the same thread, maybe you would be better making a separate thread using the exchange rate as a header so people could see what was being offered up front. People are notoriously lazy, they don't want to have to work to read threads, they like to see what there is at a glance. You will ruin your nicely thought out shop thread but if it starts to bring in sales it could be worth it.

Don't forget it is permissible to bump your thread acceptable level of every 2 hours to keep bringing it back towards the front, again people start browsing the marketplace from page 1 and if they see something that catches their eye, they won't look any further.

Don't give up, maybe try some of the suggestions you might get, it's worth a try in any case. Good luck for future sales!

Don't give up, but most importantly don't take it personally. The internet is pretty much all about people shouting and getting ignored. Good luck with your trades..

^this advice is great! Thank you for asking this question, mattyboo1. It will help me for my shop too.
