why has my sig text got black dots?

I used the anja eliane font from dafont for my sig text and when I look at it online, it has black dots around it. When I look at it on GIMP, it looks fine. Why?

are you using multiple layers? perhaps the background layer isn't solid around the lettering. to me it looks like parts of it might still be transparent.

This is probably your problem! There might be some small holes around the text if you've got everything on a single layer
