why is the the word ''forums'' censored?

Probably just to prevent people from impersonating staff. If people used "Forum Leader," "Forum Captain," or anything along those lines, some people may interpret that as an official title. That's my guess, at least.

Possibly to avoid people advertising other forums? Although people are allowed to do it in their signatures, so I don't know. Maybe it's something from vBulletin themselves.

I can't think of a reason why it'd be blocked, maybe they're trying to save us some space so we write tbt instead of tbt forums? I'm not sure.
