How many people here still have their original Wii console?
I still have mine (5 years old maybe lol)
The memories...

I still use mine for Gamecube games, and for when I need a Gamecube controller. It's probably my favorite home console, since the Wii U can't run Gamecube.

I still use mine from time to time. I've owned it since around launch, back when it was so in demand that we had to wait in lines to purchase them. I'm pretty disappointed that you can no longer add points to purchase games from the Shop channel since there were a few things I would have still picked up, but eh, that's on me for never getting around to it over the years. I mostly tend to use it for GameCube games, despite having the GameCube, since it's more convenient to have the Wii hooked up. Actually recently acquired Super Mario Strikers and Mario Power Tennis, though I'm pretty sure I've reached my ceiling of skill in Strikers and won't be able to unlock all of the characters. Don't really have many Wii games themselves other than Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and the complimentary Wii Sports. That said, between all those Wii games, the retro games that were available from the Shop channel that I did purchase, the Weather and News channels (back when those were functional), and the aforementioned ability to play GameCube games, I'm not at all remorseful over the purchase. I got and continue to get my money's worth from it. For the convenience it provides, it's one of my overall favorite consoles.

I happen to own the original white Wii since February 2007, since my father obtained it via secondhand market. Considering that the shortage lasted for pretty much a couple of years, that moment was nothing short of excitement as we got a much closer look at the motion controls.

The library of Wii games left me a bit disappointed after being exposed to more intriguing N64 and GameCube titles. I remember that console primarily for Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Donkey Kong Country Returns and the introduction to plentiful of Virtual Console titles. There might be a good amount of classics and hidden gems that I missed back then, but most of these couldn't compare to the Nintendo consoles that came before.

Nowadays, my currently soft-modded Wii is often shelved, thanks to my Wii U being able to play Wii disc games through HDMI port (albeit at 480p) and my DOL-001 GameCube.

I hardly ever get rid of any consoles. I still have N64 and Gamecube. The Wii had some good games, but I think Gamecube and PS2 are my favorites.

I still have mine, and boy, do I have great memories with it. I loved the little Wii (Mario Kart Wii was my jam). Now I don't really use it anymore, except if I ever want to go back and play Majora's Mask on Virtual Console.

I still have 2 wii consoles, just that one can't read the game CD so really its broken, but my other one still works like its brand new. And I think my wii consoles are like almost 11 years old.

My Wii's disk drive stopped working a few months ago, but it was easily replaced.

Mine's over 10 years old. It stopped reading Wii discs around the time the Wii U came out, but I was able to transfer all of my data to it so that wasn't much of a problem. Strangely enough though, it is still able to read Gamecube discs, so for the last 5 years I've just used it as a thin Gamecube.

i'm still playing on my childhood nes everyday lol

i keep all my consoles and use the wii a lot too

My original Wii stop reading discs, so I had to replace it. But when I play Wii games now, I just play them on my Wii U (for the HDMI connection).

Ever since I got into competitive Smash, I've used it as my Melee machine. I'll also occasionally play other GameCube games on it, which is probably my favorite console (even though I've never owned one, lol).

I rarely use it lol, tho I don't want to get rid of it cause i want to be able to play my gamecube games & also it's in pretty good condition

I had mine for a long time, but eventually got rid of it. I just have a Wii U and 3DS now, hoping to get a Switch this year, but I have Pokken Tournament, Super Smash Bros., and Xenoblade Chronicles X now for the Wii U. Definitely need to finish the first and second Xenoblade games before I get a Switch.

I still have mine plugged in and regularly play on it. I have about a dozen each of Wii and GameCube games, plus VC and WiiWare games.

I was disappointed in the console after I got it, but now I appreciate it as a place to play my retro Nintendo games.

yep! i believe we've had ours for like... 10 years. we don't use it often anymore so it's not set up, but i hope to set it up again in a few weeks to play some stuff.

I don't have my Wii any more but I do have the Wii games collection still. Don't think my Wii motes work though
