Admit it. You want it. We all do. The Pikmin series is made for the Wii. No other Nintendo made game that I can think of works better with the control scheme than Pikmin. With recent news of a Pikmin character in brawl rumors and hopes of Pikmin 3 have sprouted across the web.
For all those that don't know, Pikmin is a point and click puzzle game. You play as Captain Oliver, a human like alien. Your goal is to find treasures that you find exploring this new exotic planet called Earth. Because you are so small Coins and batteries are skyscrapers. Flowers are overgrown trees and every bug is your worst night mare.
This is where the Pikmin comes into play. As Captain Oliver you tell them where you want them to go. It can be to break down a wall, fight an enemy or return a hidden treasure. As you return treasures you in the end get more Pikmin to follow you around and do your biddings.
Improving dramatically from its predecessor, Pikmin, Pikmin 2 was extremely well received but never got the attention it deserved. It was "confirmed" that Pikmin 3 was going to be on the "Revolution" now known as Wii.
Zack & Wiki for the Wii also shows why Pikmin 3 would be a perfect fit for the Wii. Like Pikmin, Zack & Wiki is a point and click puzzle game. While Zack & Wiki is adored by critics and customers, it hasn't gotten a lot of sales.
All roads lead to Pikmin 3 being a must get game. After all, Pikmin 2 was the "Best Party Game" according to IGN. Nintendo recently renewed its patent to Pikmin. Nintendo's brawl is featuring a Pikmin character. The list goes on an on. Unfortunately, there are no real announced plans that the game is being made or will be made that are still credible. For now, Pikmin fans can only wait and dream of Pikmin 3 on the Wii.
