I somewhat recently restarted my town and changed the date on my 3ds to do so. As of now, I have 8 villagers (my only peppy just moved out) and don't want any of them to move, but I want to time travel back to the present so that I can play my game normally again. That means jumping forwards about a month into the future as my game is in the early Septembers. None of my villagers seem to have an interest in moving out right now, so I'm wondering if I'm still at risk of losing any of my villagers if I TT, or if I would have to have 9 to even have anyone think of moving out. Anyone know the answer? :c

If you have eight villagers NO ONE will move out. Having eight villagers is the 'entering' period which mean someone needs to move in. Nine villagers is the 'exiting' period, a villager will ask to move out every 3-5 days. I've never time traveled months ahead at a time, so I can't tell you if you travel a month if someone can move in and move out during that period at once, but I bet it's pretty uncommon.

Nobody will move out, however, a random villager will move in into a random spot if you do that.

Thank you guys so much! Maybe I'll try to TT about half a month, see who moves in, and then work my way through the rest a few days at a time to make sure no one moves out after the newbie shows up.

It's easier to just do the whole month at once since it doesn't matter, unless you are trying to move someone out.

Ironically I accidentally TT'd 4 months ahead once after April fools and didn't lose a single villager.(I had 10 villagers)
