Do you think there will be a new set of amiibo cards to cover the new villagers being released? It is a tad funny that you can summon all the old villagers but not the new ones.

If they did, would you buy them?

I know they had a hard time selling the cards once upon a time, but the WA cards sold pretty well and the price has skyrocketed recently.

I have a feeling they'll make ones for the new villagers, as well as do a reprint of previous ones since they're a bit hard to come by these days in stores.

I haven't seen any in stores in almost a year now, though there is this one store that has a fair bit of unopened packs but they're not a 'brand' store and are trying to sell a single pack for 29.99$...

The funny thing is amiibos are almost literally a micro transaction, and the easiest way for Nintendo do such for NH without public outcry. There's money to be made, I think Nintendo may go for it. It would definitely put a stop to current amiibo scalpers.

I would LOVE for them to make another series that includes all the new NPC?s, villagers, and classic returning villagers...

There are 73 villagers that have never returned since ACPG or ACe+. Even if half of them returned, toss in some new animals and the new NPC?s and you could have a 100 card set. Them they could do an update in a couple years and get the remaining old villagers and more new ones in a 50 card set.

The only ones I wouldn?t expect are Bow and Meow...They were based on a Japanese device back in the day... I don?t see Champ returning either.

I think they'll be doing new ones for all! Those villager cards we were shown earlier look just like e+ cards and so I think they're going for that with the new Amiibo! Having the old ones will still work, I have a quite a few myself but I'll definitely want the new ones too haha
I actually like the clean look of these! ☆〜(ゝ。∂)

As you can see, the reason they'll update the cards is because, they have not upated the villagers, they've updated their clothing too! So we'll definitely get new Amiibo (○︎-艸・)*:゚・☆︎

Wow I hadn't seen those! Yeah they already look like cards already.

I hope they have one for the new characters. Otherwise there would a strange online economy for new villagers because you can't get them with the cards.

I'd love for them to make a whole set of cards to collect again. It would give people a chance to get some of their favourite villagers at a lower price (Im looking at the marshals going for ?50 on ebay). Plus I think the main reason why the amiibo cards didn't do as well as they would do now is because they came out a while after NL was released so the hype for it died down. Now with the new things, trailers, villagers, and it being on a completely new console, it would be more sought after.

they’ll most likely be making amiibo cards for the new villagers c:

On one hand, I think the parallel to loot boxes makes sense, since you don’t know what you’ll get from a pack. On the other hand, you can at least get the villagers through means within the game (with WA in NL and special characters being the exceptions). That’s better than, say, the fortune cookies in PC, but still more or less the same as many microtransactions, now that I think about it.

I think you’re right that they’re unlikely to pass up on the chance to make more profit. There’ll probably be a big demand for the new animals after all, as well as for getting old Dreamies back.

I hope the new villager cards can be bought on their own.
I wouldn't buy packs of them.

Probably buy them at Etsy.

I plan on picking some up since it has been mentioned they are releasing cards in Japan. So I assume they will for the USA too. I don't know how they come in the packs though. If they are a set per pack or if you get random ones in a pack. (never bought any before)

I hope they reissue them in the US. I already have them all, but everyone deserves to be able to get them at a fair price. So I definitely hope they make a new set with all of the new ones. I?d just buy a box and sell the extras.

I know everyone wants amiibo cards, but I would like to see new characters turned into amiibo figurines.

Same here! I need figures of my dreamies so I can be with them in the real world too ⁄(⁄ ⁄ˊૢ⁄ ⌑︎ ⁄ˋૢ⁄ ⁄)⁄

All packs came with 6 cards 1 of which was always a shiny card. Europe had packs of 3 with one being a shiny card I think.

Japan will get them but not sure about NA. The Amiibo cards took up a lot of store space and didn't sell well. Stores lost money with stealing and low sells. Walmart and Best Buy Canada went to only online for Series 4 and Welcome Amiibo. Towards the end Best Buy Canada sold a pack for $25.99 and that didn't include shipping.

I hope Nintendo allows us to buy the Amiibo Cards we want from the Eshop. It can't be random cards because that would be gambling. Animal Crossing Pocket Camp got banned in Belgium because the fortune cookies were random items.
