In acnl I was. Obsessed with making sure that I had all the villagers I want. And while that was fun...I won?t do that in the next game. I?ll let them move in and move out naturally. I may get Beau and Rex...but idk. But other than that I?m just taking what the game gives me. What about you?
I think I still might have to get my fav girl Tutu and Wolfgang, but other then that I'll let what happens happens. I really want to experience all the new villagers before I even choose permanents, but Tutu and Wolfgang are special, so they're an excpetion.
HOWEVER if there are dolphin villagers I think I would have to hoard them all.
Depends on how villager houses work in AC Switch. If I can have them move in and out without potentially destroying my town, I'll probably let them do that.
I'll move them in and out naturally. I think that as long as I have the amiibo cards and I know that if I got desperate one day, I'd have the option to scan in any villager I want, I'll feel better about random move ins and keeping them around. If certain villagers are locked behind an amiibo card, like Etoile for example, I'd probably scan her in though.
I heard on Switch the town is linked with Nintendo profile and that you can essentially have only one town, unless you have several Nintendo profiles. From there I'd assume you can't have towns just to keep/cycle out villagers. If that's the case, I may probably try to keep a couple of villagers and would let others come and go, like I've been doing in NL.
Btw, not very sure but shouldn't this thread be in Switch AC discussion board, rather than here?
When I was younger, I didn't mind who moved in or out. I always let whoever move in even if they were a villager I didn't like. I'm going to try to do that again and just be happy with whatever happens in my new town, including the villagers being random. I just want to play the game really badly and not be overly picky anymore. That's what I used to do and I'm going to stick to it.
I think for sure I'm going to try to get Fauna because I love her very much. But aside from that, I might let whoever come in as they come in until I get a nice idea for a town.
I grow super attached to my pixelated babies, so I'm sure my town(s) will eventually be filled with perma-villagers. And depending on whether or not Nintendo increases the character limit for the naming of towns, I may just end up recreating my main NL town. And that one's definitely never going to see anyone move out.
I would like them to move in and out naturally, but with the exception of a select few. Sprinkle definitely is going in my town as soon as I can get her, most likely pietro since he's my favorite male and maybe marina because she's great, but the other villagers I don't care much for or have strong attachments to.
I probably will, but it also depends on if they have more personality, and who the newcomers are tbh.
I would love my sanrio villagers again, and have to bring my boy Stitches back in.
I've bought so many amiibo cards it seems silly not to use them, but I think I'll limit myself to a certain number of picks - if that's possible right away - and let the others be random.
It was such a great day when that annoying villager who moved in right next to me finally said they were leaving! I don't want to miss out on that. There are also tonnes of villagers I've never met, and hopefully lots of new ones too, who I might grow to love
Nope, I'm just gonna play this game completely naturally like it's intended to be. I really ruined my ACNL experience by trying to make my town look perfect and "aesthetic". The one villager I would try to get is Frita since she's my favorite
I think I'll have the same attitude I had with nl. I let them come and go pretty freely except for my favorites. I've never been too obsessed with dreamies and perfect villager lineups. As long as we can choose where their houses go I'll be cool!
In my later years of New Leaf I was way to obsessed with a perfect 'aesthetic' town and villagers who matched the theme, even if I didn't necessarily like them. This time I'm not going to do any time traveling or move out tricks and let them come and go naturally. I want to collect as many pictures of as many villagers as I can. If my favorites stop by, I'll definitely keep them in town.
i only want to move in a couple villagers i need in the new game (mainly so i can sob over an HD Poppy). other than that, i want the rest of my villagers to be chosen for me. it's what i did in my very first town, and it felt the most natural to me
There are a few villagers that I love across games that I'd love to have in my town, but at the same time I like to have new villagers constantly cycling in. One of the things that lead to me getting bored of New Leaf was having the same villagers and certain villagers I wanted to leave not pinging to move (note that I never TTed, so sometimes I would wait a week just to have my favorite villager ping me to move...then wait another week and have my 2nd favorite).
If anything, I want to be more active with villagers coming and going, but of course I'll have my favorites that will stay. I'll also try and keep at least one very original villager as I did in New Leaf.
