I restarted my town this week after about 3 months of burnout and absolutely no desire to play. I decided I wanted a fresh start, and was super excited for the winter update and all the new DIYs, but it seems like those activities aren't available in new towns? Does anyone know when exactly the activities become available, in terms of island development? Like, do I need to have Isabelle on my island first, do I need to have upgraded the shop?

have you fully done the Tutorial? do you have your house plus Nooks, ables and museum ? I haven't restarted the re-game yet but my guess would it once all this things are and you have unlock all base core buildings in order to jump into the every day gameplay
that makes sense! i only just restarted a couple days ago so right now i just have nooks and my home, with the museum under construction. hopefully i can get ables in time to do some ornament collecting!
