I'm still kinda new to Paint tool SAI. How do I make the eyes blend in with the rest of the face? Is there a specific tool I should use? I've mostly just been experimenting around.

I'm not completely done with all the shading, so some general tips would be cool too. :D

I'm sorry that this isn't any help, but that is an amazing piece so far... ^~^
And honestly, I think the eyes look fine how they are xD

Thanks! I wanted the eye to look more detailed, but the paint keeps wanting to blend together so that I get gradients instead of somewhat defined bands of color. It just seems flat to me compared to everything else. I'm still used to doing it traditionally with colored pencils.

Ohh right, I see what you mean now. I'm new to SAI too, so I have no idea o_O
Good luck, though!

the hair is absolutely lovely!

I have basically no digital art experience but as for the eyes, you should try adding a crease for the eyelids. it really makes a world of difference, if you leave it out it makes a drawing look flat if you're going for a realistic approach. and for everything to blend better, you can try adding shadows/darker shading to the forehead where the hair meets the face c:

I don't know much about digital tools so I'm no help there, but I wanted to mention I'd bring up the shading on the sides of her nose higher so it looks like her eyes are recessed back a bit. That may be something you were already intending to do when shading around the eyes though, so that may not be relevant lol.

Try shading the white part of the eye a bit and see if that helps. The rest of the picture is done very beautifully but the eye just looks like it's there.

It's gorgeous. I agree with Veggiesaurus, the nose looks very flat and more shading would make it "pop" more. Other than that it's beautiful and the blue hair looks really nice.

Thanks for the help! I tried to color/shade the whites of the eyes, but I guess the color was too light.

Yeah I have trouble with noses too... xD

Looks great so far! If you're having trouble with the eyes always imagine them literally as round spheres sitting in a socket. I would suggest going over your shading once more with a very dark shade in the small crevasses to make the face seem more 3D. Good luck :)

You should always outline the eyes of a digital piece with dark, if not black, lining. Also, shading/blush/generally darker skin tone around the eyes really helps make them pop.

Finally finished the headshot of my OC! Thanks for everyone's advice!

Now all I need is to name him and give him an outfit. :)
