QueenCobra
big boy season
Inspired by the r/commercialsihate subreddit, I thought we could all (respectfully) share some commercials we despise.
Off the top of my head, here are my least favorites:
—The Burger King song. I’m sorry, but I think Arnold Schwarzenegger could sing better than that.
—The Domino’s “Emergency Pizza” bits. They’re not funny and I don’t like the lady’s voice.
—The Real Real. Even the name of this company is annoying. Combine that with this lazy Valley girl voice saying, “The Rill Rill.” Uggh!
—Gain commercials. The guy who does the voiceovers sounds like a Muppet with a cold.
—Blue Chew
—All the Farmer’s Dog ones where they kick someone out for questioning why the dog food is in the refrigerator.
—Pooph. It’s really gross when the guy sprays it in his mouth.
—Librela. I teared up when I first saw it. The dog’s toys say he can’t play with them because he’s in pain “all the time”. Once the dog feels better, he can play again, but it’s sad to me how the dog is aging but still baby-like. (Same thing with my pets, I guess)
—Most Liberty Mutual ones. Especially that one with the guy’s wax figure.
—Pharmaceutical commercials. I’m so sorry.
—Any whole-body deodorant commercial. Just take a shower!
—Capital One ads. They would constantly play one with Jennifer Garner yelling “There’s no crying in baseball!” Maybe it wasn’t that bad, but I used to see it CONSTANTLY.
—Every Dupixent commercial. That whistling annoys the crap out of me.
—The St. Jude’s commercials. I’m not trying to be insensitive, but they make me sad.
—The Huggies one where this guy keeps saying “baby BOT”, “stinky BOT” about babies’ butts. It’s supposed to be funny, but comes off as creepy.
—The commercial where this guy watches The Boys and gets inspired to start drinking coffee. Also a lot of baby crying sounds.
—The T-Mobile commercials with those singing guys from Scrubs. I don’t give a flying fart if you were famous in the 2000s…it doesn’t make your singing any better.
—The Quilted Northern commercial with “We Quilt This City”…of all the ‘80s songs you could have parodied…you chose THAT one?’
