I've seen some conflicting information on whether or not you will be able to select the Northern or Southern hemisphere weather or if it will be strictly tied to your Switch's geographic location. So, if we are given the option, would anyone willing choose the opposite hemisphere?s weather for their file?

I admit I'd be tempted to play in Fall and Winter sooner, but I'll stick with the Northern Hemisphere. If I ever get a second Switch (such as the Mini), I might make a separate save file with the alternate hemisphere, though.

Possibly. If they were like, this is permanent to your town, I would stick with North Hemisphere. If we can change it, might be fun to see Toy Day at summer.

Nah, I much rather stick to the northern hemisphere as I like having my town with the same season as I'm in. Plus, if I ever wifi with some other people on here, I might just be able to find another town with the opposite hemisphere, so that would be really cool to visit. :)

If possible, I'd change to the Southern Hemisphere, so I could experience Winter early.

I would play in my own time.
It would be great to finally have Christmas in summer, the way it's always been for me.

I’m really tempted to play the Southern Hemisphere, but only if we have the option to change it on the fly, though I highly doubt that.

Makes me wonder how December would work in the game. Would they still put lights on the trees even with no snow?

What I would really want to happen in the Winter Season is that overtime, the snow would melt so we'd experience the grass. As I quote: "We all hate the snow as time goes on in the winter..."

I mean the snow melting during the winter season, then snowing back again and rinse and repeat.

It would be fun to play in the opposite hemisphere, but I'd regret it sooner or later. So picking the right one if possible would be what I do.

I'd strictly play with my own hemisphere, but I would visit friends from the southern hemisphere to experience it... like in real life :)

I would prefer to have it as the same season as mine, but once I get further along and when I decide to make another town on my boyfriend's switch I'll probably switch it to the other hemisphere just to keep it interesting. But only I've experienced all the seasons and events on my main town.

I live in the northern hemisphere so having it the other way around in New Horizons would just feel wrong. It'd be great for those that want it though.

I'm pretty sure it will be optional. As someone who lives in the Southern hemisphere i'm very excited about playing fall when it actually is fall irl. but at the same time i'm so used to playing by Northern hemisphere seasons and it'd be weird to not have easter in spring and christmas in winter.

I guess I will stick with the northern hemisphere, although it sounds kinda tempting trying out the opposite
one.

Probly not. I prefer to stay in my own hemisphere, so the weather is the sameish when events happen and day to day. I also don't like cheating in Animal Crossing Games, so I feel like changing to the oppsoite hemisphere I am not in would be that for me.

Well I already live in the Southern Hemisphere so I?m always forced to play with the seasons that are in the northern hemisphere. I like to keep it at the current date and not 6 months behind or ahead so when new horizons comes out I guarantee I?ll play in the Southern Hemisphere so I can finally experience the seasons in the same time as me

I don't think I'll change my hempisphere so nope, staying in the nothern one!
I like the immersive feeling I get when I play in the same season I'm in IRL. It doesn't happen often since I used to time travel a lot, but I'll try to stop when new horizons comes out!
