Wouldn't this be just too sweet to have in this game? Official contests held by Nintendo where we could send in designs for furniture items or new characters or the like where we could win a chance to have them added to the game in an update? I think something similar was done for CF, at least I remember that being the case but don't think there's any trace of that left now. I would love to see this done seasonally. Perhaps we have to design the perfect new set of villagers based on a new season, or some cool new items that could be given out for Christmas.
Would be a really cool idea if Nintendo would do something like this. After all, there are lots of
people out there which have pretty nice ideas for new villagers and items.
(Off topic: Now that I think about it, the forum could do actually such a "Create your own villager/
item set" event too, hmm...)
It might be hard though as there'd be no way little kids would get their designs to win if they were up against awesome artists and the like. But then, I think Nintendo has been all for contests before for unrelated stuff, so maybe they don't mind that too much or maybe they'll put an age restriction on the contests.
