i got a copy when it first came out but i held off playing it because i was slowly weening off acnl. anyway, i didn't think playing it would be a good idea, because i knew it would eat my life. i started it up on a whim today because of nintendo badges being up, and, eh, don't ask how they're related, i don't know either, but that's how it started.
and, ueeeyuuehhh, it's sooo japanese. like. (⊙▂⊙ );;; japanese office worker life simulator with aminals.
the most recent thing i can compare the daily grind feeling to is when i was playing yakuza. well, the beginning of yakuza 5, where you're taxi driver kiryu, haha! the first two homes were really neat to do, but after while - because designing is a creative thing and that just eats up one's resources, it really started to wear on me. while i do enjoy having coworkers as it makes the day-to-day feel a more engaging that being the mayor in terms of role immersion, it really is super duper draining. before i knew it, i had lost HOURS. Σ(?◉⌓◉?)
i couldn't even finish a new home i started on the day nook gives you the instruction manual. i just shut it off and took a breather, haha. it's a totally different feel from acnl and more like being worked like a dog in an office. ^^; although, i guess maybe i will enjoy it down the line, i am not digging the maps, as well. i don't know if i'll open it up again, too. XD
maybe i'm just burned out for now since i did have a somewhat busy day. it really isn't what i normally expect when i play acnl - i mean, sure, there's the stress of losing a villager every new day, but now that we have a 7-10 day warning it's not as bad, and the atmosphere is something else completely. maybe i just need to play around more because i'm sure i don't have things that make playing easier down yet at all.
...not yet sure how i feel about it. (*?∀`).。o○
also, nintendo seriously SERIOUSLY needs to stop finding ways to take my money via microtransactions. XD
