Wreaths on villagers doors disappearing?

Anyone else have this happening? I usually wait until a new villager has been on my island a couple days then I gift wrap and mail them a wreath. Within a day or two they put it on their front door and I'm a happy camper.

In the early days of the game, they would never disappear, then a few months ago it started happening. The game had a major patch and it stopped happening so I figured it was fixed. Then, I finally got Raymond, mailed him a mushroom wreath from the few shrooms I have left, he put it up...next day it was gone.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a common glitch? Anyone else notice this or have a fix? I know it's a minor problem, but it kinda bums me out.

Oh no, really? That is awful, the shroom one looks so cool with the decoration I did. But why would he put it up in the first place I wonder?

I think only seasonal ones disappear. I’ve had a paw print one stay up for several months, and it’s still hanging.

I gave Flurry a seashell wreath which she put on her door the following day. It was up for maybe a month. One day I noticed that it wasn't there anymore. Maybe the seashell wreath is seasonal as well? All the others wreaths and signs are still up.

I think the seashell wreath is seasonal - I gave Marina one last summer and she kept it up all summer and took it down when fall started.

I believe villagers can sometimes choose to take wreaths down, though it is pretty uncommon. I've had one of my villagers remove a rose wreath quite some time ago suddenly.

But the issue was mentioned previously, but villagers keep seasonal wreaths up only for that season.

On my main island, Raymond still has the Blue rose Wreath I gave him last year and its still there. So for me it hasn't disappeared. Not sure if its a bug or a glitch that is happening. I do know that it depends on the season where they can hang it up, but other times it doesn't want to work.

Ahhh...the season thing makes sense. Kinda sucks because the shell, shroom,etc wreaths really look pretty cool. Appreciate the info everyone.
