god that kirby one is adorable

i think you've improved a ton since you last posted here!! your anatomy especially

Ahh the clouds, they look like photographs! Your style is really pleasant, everything looks really soft and the coloring is great. :)

hey, what's up! i'm an illustration student, here's my portfolio: https://tinkaliladraws.weebly.com/
i think your art is really cool! you have a great understanding off color and lighting/shading, it's really amazing. for example, in your second splatoon drawing, with the two inklings, i see you showing bouncelight, which is something i didn't understand for a long time. i think the primary things you should focus on improving are your anatomy and technique.

your second splatoon drawing is where i definitely see the anatomy and unnatural posing as a problem that takes away from the piece as a whole. the legs look good, but the torso, arms, and neck are in unnatural positions. based on the skills shown in your other pieces though, i think you'll be able to solve this easily just by looking at more references while drawing.

your first realistic drawing, of billie eilish (love her) is where i noticed your technique distracting from your skill. the first thing i thought was that it looked blurry, and that you were probably using whatever version of a soft airbrush your art program offers. this look worked well in your kirby drawing, where there were still some more defined edges. but in your billie eilish drawing, it really took away from the piece. i would recommend using a lot less of the airbrush tool, no matter what kind of art you're doing. try using the watercolor brush instead, and manually blending colors together.

overall, i think your art is really great. i personally think your best piece is the first one of kirby! i hope my critique has been of some help. keep drawing! btw, i followed you on insta!

thank you for the tips!
1) im assuming that when u refer to the inkling with anatomy problems you are talking about the inkling reading the book right? i noticed the flaw , but thank you for saying what was wrong! <3
2) i actually used the "blur" brush on the program i use and i even through i rather use watercolor brushes i went super lazy on it ;; still ill work on stopping to use the blur (or any blending) brush
thank you for the kind comments , also i followed back on insta <3.

dude i dont talk to you for awhile and i see you with really nice art? good job my dude, keep it up. It's impressive how good you are for only starting in january

Hello! I've got some crit for you. I'm no professional, but I've been drawing regularly for 6 years now, and I'll be dual-enrolling in art courses with a college thats partnered with my highschool next year, so I have a bit of tips for you.
1. Your figures are stiff. It would help you a lot if you did regular gesture drawings. If you do about 5 minutes a day of gesture drawings, using REAL people as a reference, you could improve a lot. I heavily recommend this website: https://line-of-action.com/practice-tools/figure-drawing/
2. Your colors are all too garish. You use a lot of neons and pastels with eachother, and it's not visually pleasing. I've also noticed that you're a bit "afraid" to shade with dark values in a lot of your pieces- you could fix this by focusing on values of a piece. Doing some studies in ONLY black and white will help you a lot. Get a sketchbook and draw with dark charcoal or graphite ONLY in it.
3. There is little attention to detail in your work. Everything looks like it was made with an airbrush tool. The only answer I can give to this is to just render a lot more. One of the greatest tips I've been given is that "art is never finished, only abandoned".
4. A final tip I'd give you is to get a sketchbook and draw with a pencil, the traditional way. You can learn the fundamentals of drawing so much easier with a pencil and paper as opposed to a complicated program.
I hope you use this advice well! You have a lot of potential having only done this for a few months. If you can, find some art classes near you and take them. You learn so much more when other people give you input vs. when you're the only person critiquing.
