You can assign roles to villagers!?

Yesterday I was just in the hotel in game and I tapped the 3 card amiibo icon in the bottom left corner of my screen and found out that in the public spaces, you can actually assign villagers to the roles you want! For instance:

Rolf, Celia and Punchy are workers at the hotel and Deli, Hopper and Rosie are guests...I can tap that icon and switch Punchy to be a guest and Hopper to be a worker, or just change them all!

Also, you can scan an amiibo card to place your favorite villagers in the hotel as workers/guests too! (Not just the hotel, any public building)

I just thought that was so cool and wanted to share! I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but just thought I would try to help!

How do you scan the amiibo card in that situation? The game said I could scan one to bring a villager in for a role but I couldn't figure out how.

Yes! All you have to do is tap the villager you want to swap out and the amiibo scan page will come up!

Ugh it took me FOREVER to figure out that you had to tap the villager you wanted to swap in order to invite a new one... but once I did figure it out, I made Bob the teacher in my school! And then he started complaining that he couldn't sleep in class because the students kept waking him up! It's a really cute feature! xD
