According to Animal Crossing Fandom, Animal Crossing wild world was meant to be called Animal Crossing 2. And the game was supposed to be The GameCube version but on the ds like with Super Mario 64 DS. But however the game never got released. There are only two photos of the game. here it is!

Omg this is so cool - thank you for sharing!! Wild World is my favourite game but I've never seen pre-release photos before. It's fun looking at all the little differences .
