Festive Fossil
Harv's Island as it's intended feature is, let's face it, useless. I have no intent to ever use it for taking photos. I've been twice to catalogue villager posters that I want to order but apart from that, nothing.
But I've just thought about it - I can use anything in the catalogue without having to pay for it, can customise it for free too. The way I set out these rooms STAYS too, so if I deck out a room as a schoolroom or something, it will stay as a schoolroom until I change it again.
So, technically, even though using it as a photo studio is a bit meh... you kinda have completely free range of an extra house to play around and design what you want. You can make a theatre or whatever if you like the roleplay element. Even if you don't take photos there.
You can use it as a base for working out how things go together - you can put down anything from the catalogue, including unorderables, and customise them all for FREE. This is the perfect chance to plan out rooms and stuff without worrying about spending bells/recipe materials/customisation kits on stuff you might decide you don't actually even like in the end.
So yeah, Harv's Island as a photo studio... bit of a waste of potential. But there's ways and means to make it better, and I for one will absolutely be using this free designing reign I have to be planning out my house and some outside areas as well.
