Vic sent me a Comedian’s outfit

Daily gifts

Buck – I bought Buck a summer season Train set from Nook’s Cranny and got a White honeycomb tile wall.

Al – I also bought a Mama bear from Nook’s Cranny for Al. He gave me a Cycling shirt.

Vic - I thought I would try a different tactic for a photo from Vic, I saw a Photo frame in Nook’s Cranny, think it was only a few hundred bells. After days of giving him wrapped non-native fruits, golden crafted items, expensive items, I thought I’ll have a try at this. Still nothing!

Roscoe – I went over to Roscoe’s house he was making Apple jelly. I gave him 10 wrapped oranges and got a pink Kappa costume. I’ve never even seen or heard of a Kappa costume before so was delighted to get another item of clothing to catalog.


Other information

• Al came over to my house, but after a few minutes decided to leave. (It’s usually Vic that does that.)
• Met Boomer in the Able Sisters. I think Boomer did like the items for sale, but they were a little out of his price range!
• Got a new DIY recipe to make a Pear rug.
• Buck came running up to me asking if I would buy a Denim vest from him for 1,680 bells. (Of course, I did! Didn’t even try to haggle. I would buy a bag of trash from Buck for one million bells!)
• Over on Happy Home Paradise, I found a new DIY, Glowing moss boulder.
• Flick was on my island today, my least favourite NPC. However, I did catch some bugs for him, and cleared out some bugs I had in my storage and made some extra bells in the process.

Roscoe – Went to see Roscoe to give him K.K. Blues, in return he gave me some autograph cards.

Al – Gave Al a Spacey backpack from Kicks’ stall, he gave me a Chef’s outfit in return.


Other information:

Kicks was on the plaza. (I don’t know if anyone has noticed, but I hardly bought from Kicks before until I paid for his stall on Harv’s island. He seems to have better stock since he started selling on Harv’s island)

Daily announcements

Isabelle informed me that there was a visitor in the campsite. I went over to see who was there and met Friga. She was nice enough, but wouldn’t want her to move to Hazzard on a permanent basis.



Daily gifts

• Gave Buck a green sweatshirt
• I made Al a nice branch, (just looks like a longer tree branch!) so I wasn’t surprised when he didn’t give me a gift in return.
• Roscoe was making Mushroom crepe. I had a new DIY in my collection so made Roscoe a White lily record player, he gave me a simple parka in return.
• Had another go at giving Vic a present, this time a plasma ball, no photo but got a different item, a table setting.

Other information

• Got a new DIY (Pear dress) to add to my collection.
• Helped Pirate Gullivarrr retrieve his communicator.
• Vic ran over to me and said I had been looking for a straw boater (First, I’ve heard, Vic!)
• Finally had time to put some items into storage and flatten another part of my island. Not 100% sure what I will fill the space with, I have a few ideas.

• Buck – Made Buck a Cherry Blossom bonsai, he gave me a tunic tank.

• Vic – Went round to Vic’s house, he was making Thumbprint jam cookies. I gave him a Bottled ship, he gave me a Gilet and shirt in return.
• Al – Al ran over to me and wanted to trade my Gilet and shirt in return for his Patchwork tulip hat. Of course I obliged, who couldn’t refuse cuddly Al? I gave Al a Baby panda, he gave me a Pocket tee.

Harv’s island

• Went over to Harv’s island to take some pictures at Photopia.
• First picture is one of my original villagers, and the 2nd one is of my current villagers.
• Once I finished I went over to Redd’s stall, and decided to take a chance and buy a Motherly statue. Wonder if Redd has sold me another fake?
• Bought some pumpkin and carrot starts from Leif’s stall.

Other information

• Poor Buck, I hated having to do it, but I had to hit Buck with a net as he had a flea.
• When I first switched on New Horizons, Label was on the plaza, however, I time travelled so I could get Goose out, Erik in (for a trade) and finally move Vesta in, whenever I finished and returned to today’s date, C.J. was there instead! Does that normally happen, if an NPC is visiting, they can change if you time travel? It was handy though, as I had a lot of fish in my storage from this morning as I had to catch a carp to make a ‘Carp on a cutting board’ for my campsite villager.

It was my 2nd Bug off since starting New Horizons, I strongly dislike the Bug off, probably because I dislike Flick, and certain type of bugs. Trying to catch a bug on a tree/stump is a nightmare, and don't even start me on trying to catch a scorpion. (I always end up getting stung.) Even so, I took part in the Bug off with my remainder of 2 points from the June one. (That’s how much I hate the Bug off.) I kept going and managed to get a Bronze trophy from Flick! I did another few rounds, and managed to get some Bug off items, a Bug Aloha shirt and a toy centipede. So, I have a 100 point lead for the next Bug off, hopefully I can get a Silver and Gold next times.

Mailbox

No mail from any of my villagers today, only my purchase Redd over at Harv’s island. (Even if it is a fake, it will make an interesting decoration for Hazzard.)

Daily gifts

• Buck – I don’t normally buy gifts of this expense for my villagers, but Buck is in a different league. Naturally, when I saw a Whirlpool bath for 130,000 bells, I thought Buck could do with some relaxation after a hard day of exercising. He gave me a purple camo wall in return.
• Roscoe – Roscoe gave me a Sports tank when I gave him a grey checked Detective’s coat.
• Vic – Tried wrapping 10 Giant clams to give to Vic, still no photo! Instead he gave me a Pacifier!
• Al – Had never made a Foxtail before, so gave one to Al.

Other information:

• Took Redd’s Motherly statue to Blathers’, it was a fake.
• Vesta was unpacking her boxes. Vests has lived on my island before, for literally a few days. Previously, I was so annoyed when she showed up as it was the first time I let a villager leave when they asked. I expected the plot to stay open until I was ready to scan an amiibo or go on a villager hunt, but I know better and wanted to get to know Vesta. She does look cute.

Bought a Viking Helmet to try and look like Vic, maybe if I look like him he’ll give me a photo!

Buck – Gave Buck a cordless phone, (hope he’s got my number on speed dial), he gave me a pair of Denim overalls in return.

Al – Decided to make Al a Roost Sable cookie, in return he gave me a School uniform with necktie.

Kidd – Kidd gave me a cycling shirt when I gave him a Roost Sable cookie.

Vic – Vic was making Cherry jam. I gave Vic a Roost Sable cookie (I had a lot of sugar and flour left over so felt as if all the villagers were getting food items!) in return he gave me a Tee dress.

Lionel – Went over to Lionel’s house to give him some Bread, he gave me a Diner apron back.

Roscoe – Had some Pretzels left, so gave some to Roscoe, not sure if he was trying to tell me something as he gave me a Garbage bin!

Other information

• Bought 200 turnips from Daisy Mae for 92 bells.
• Got a copy of K.K. Calypso by requesting it from K.K. Slider
• Scanned Rilla into the campsite to get the Hello Kitty items.
• Reinstalled Pocket Camp onto my phone, and now have the OK Motors selection in the Nook Promotion section

Buck’s gym

A few months ago I started to flatten my island as it was a hassle having to jump rivers and constantly climb ladders/vines. Finally, got a large part of it flattened this weekend. I decided last week when I got it sorted out, one of the things I would like to do is to make a gym for Buck. I started today ordering some items from Wardell and the Special goods section. Going to post pictures of Buck’s gym over on the Buck Appreciation Thread as it gets built day by day!

• Buck – This morning Buck was making a Simple DIY workbench.
• Lionel – In the evening, Lionel was making an Acoustic guitar.
• I got a lovely surprise this evening when Buck ran over to me and asked to come to my house. Well, of course, I welcomed Buck with open arms! We had a game of High Card, Low Card and I won his Flashy hairpin. He wanted to see some of my other rooms. (Plenty of screenshots to come in the Buck Appreciation Thread!)

The morning got off to a great start when @xxcodexx came over to my island to adopt Marlo. We explored the island, went into The Roost for a coffee and then went shopping. Code seemed to like my Buck obsession and Buck’s gym! I then went over to Code’s island, I especially loved where they had Marlo’s house and the Able Sisters shop placed, but they are only there temporary as a move is planned.

Daily gifts

• Buck – I recently discovered about the Sanrio items, so with my amiibo cards I unlocked the OK Motors merchandise, Hello Kitty, etc, so I decided to give Buck something very different, a Brake tapper. In return, he gave me a Throwback mitt chair. (While Buck and I were chatting, Al and Lionel were playing aeroplanes on the plaza!)
• Al – I bought a Frog cap from the Able Sisters for him, he gave me a Cycling shirt.
• Roscoe – Nothing in return from Roscoe when I gave him a Leaf mask, but he wear it!
• Vic – Another day of no photo from Vic! I gave Vic 10 apples, and got some Mint dot flooring as a gift.

Other information

• Kidd was making a Stone lion dog.
• Gullivarrr was on the beach and found the communicator parts.
• Vesta told poor Lionel that his ‘Precisely’ catchphrase was out-of-date, Lionel wanted me to suggest a new one, so I decided on ‘Precisely’ again, it suits Lionel down to a t!
• Roscoe – was making a Deer scare
• Frank and Vesta were out on the plaza exercising, can’t see Frank lasting long on Hazzard. (I don’t like the interior of his house!)

I was on the island Z, I really love where the Able Sisters is, I think when I make a 2nd profile I'll place a house on the beach!

Thought I would join in with the Hazzard exercising program with Frank and Vesta!

Vesta looks as if she's hard at work, mean while Frank and I have a chat ...

I can't see Frank lasting long on Hazzard as I really don't like his house interior. I know I could redecorate it, but I haven't redecorated any of my villagers houses and I really want to leave them the way they are.

• A rather dark and rainy day in Hazzard, was brightened by Lionel's birthday! Al and Vesta joined him during the course of the day, as did I. I gave Lionel a 20 LCD TV. I always love villagers birthdays, it's so cute to see him so happy, singing and dancing!
• My least favourite NPC Flick was on the roam looking for bugs.
• Chow was unpacking his boxes.
• Went into the Able Sisters, bought a green Comedian's outfit for Buck. I have some gifts lined up for him, so probably a few days before he gets the Comedian's outfit.
• Frank was making Mushroom pizza.

Mailbox

• Vic had sent me a message, I hoped it was that time, but no, disappointment again, a Skull doorplate!

Daily gifts
Vic - Tried yet again, what is the matter with him? I gave him 10 cherries and got an eggshell hat in return. I give up with Vic, I've spent goodness knows how many bells on him, and still no photo! Vic, you're getting fruit from now on, until you change your ways.
Buck - Buck gave me a Nurse's cap after I gave him 10 peaches. (Do you think he's trying to tell me something? He gave me a nurse's uniform a little while ago, or simply getting ready early for Halloween?!)
Al - I gave Al 10 Sugar canes, he gave me a Jockey's uniform as a thank you.
Roscoe - Over at Happy Home Paradise, I spent quite a few Poki with Wardell to buy a DJ cap for Roscoe, and what does he do? Puts it in his pocket and says he's never had anything like it before, and no return gift!

Other information
Last, but my no means least, the lovely @S.J. came over to my main and 2nd island! Had a lovely time exploring and of course you can't come to Hazzard and not talk to the legendary Buck! (Thank you again for the gifts and TBT, S.J., love them all but have a soft spot for Mint!)

i have a question! ive never had any of my villagers make or create anything so i was wondering, how do yours make stuff? you said one of them was making a stone lion dog and the other a deer scare. all my villagers do is walk around trying to catch bugs or fish lol! i did see the hippo sitting on an actual chair out in the wild though! i took a pic of it hahaha

You have to go into their house, and they should be crafting something. I believe one villager is always crafting something each day. It’s always happening in their house so it should be easy to locate them.

Sorry, don't know how I missed your reply! Usually there is a villager doing DIY in the morning and it tends to change from about midday, so far Boomer and Kidd have been doing DIY, I'll look later and see if it changes in the evening.

Another very exciting day in Hazzard, as it was Frank's birthday! Chow and Vesta attended his party throughout the day. I always think it's funny when the villagers ask for presents on their birthday. I gave him a Throwback mitt chair I had in my storage, didn't see the point giving him something expensive as I plan to move him out soon.

Daily gifts

• Buck - Since Buck is into his fitness, I gave him 10 carrots, he seemed to be amazed! He gave back a Sprite costume.
• Roscoe - Found a Blue tweet jacket in the Able Sisters and Roscoe did look extremely dapper in it. In return he gave me a School uniform with ribbon. (Although, I appreciate any gift from my villagers, not sure why I need a school uniform, when the islanders don't attend school! Maybe the next time I visit the school over on HHP, I'll wear it, even though the other students are in their normal clothes!)
• Al - Al seems to like his fruits these days as he's giving decent presents back, so I gave him 10 peaches, and got a Delivery jacket back instead, it least it wasn't a Jockey's cap/uniform. I seem to be overloaded with them!
• Vic - Vic got 10 apples, and got a good gift back, a Gray molded-panel wall. Maybe I'm one step further to a photo since it wasn't clothing.
• Lionel - Had bought a Green tweet jacket from the Able Sisters aswell for Lionel. I got another School uniform with ribbon! Has anyone had 2 of the same gifts from 2 different villagers?

Mailbox
The mailbox seemed to be packed to the brim with messages and gifts! Think it's because I time travelled a little, time travelling does have its benefits! (Apart from spoiled turnips, turnip prices being reset and more weeds growing!)

• Vesta sent me a letter, saying thanks for the letter I wrote her. I didn't write to Vesta, her memory must be playing her up.
• Roscoe has sent 2 gifts - a Cushion, a Striped umbrella (after a very wet day in Hazzard) and a pair of Kimono sandals.
• Buck - Green vinyl flooring.
• Nook Bank - 9,999 bells interest. (Skipped into August)
• Mom - Mom's pen stand
• Gullivarrr - Pirate hat.
• Dodo Airlines - Got a DAL backpack! (I do love the DAL merchandise, think I've got it all now! Planning to kit Buck out with the DAL items!
• Lionel - Best surprise in the mailbox was Lionel sent me ... his photo, to say thanks for his birthday present! Come on, Buck, you need to up your game Al and Lionel are overtaking you in the photo department!

DIY
After a discussion about villagers doing DIY, I make a point to see how often it happens. It seems to be morning (approx 5am - noon), Afternoon (Noon - 6pm) and Evening (6pm - 5am, following day)

• Boomer - Iron Ladder set up kit (Morning)
• Kidd - A decayed tree (Afternoon)
• Vic - Baked potatoes (Evening into next day)

Daily gifts
Buck - I bought Buck a fan from Nook's Cranny (he has to keep cool in this heat, especially after his extensive exercise!) In return he gave me a sheep costume.
Roscoe - When I was in the Able Sisters I saw a black/grey tailcoat for him, he gave me a football in return. Will go nicely over at Buck's gym!
Vic - He gave me a Peasant blouse, after he received 10 peaches from me.
Al - Al loves his hats, so bought him a red Cavalier hat from the Able Sisters, in return he gave me a Tee dress.

Mailbox

• Rather empty today, one from Happy Home Academy telling me yet again to coordinate my furniture, but I like it the way it is!
• Frank sent me a thank you gift for his birthday present, Layered tank.

Other information:

• Started off the morning watching Buck at around 6.30am exercising in the plaza, that's dedication, Buck! He then moved onto the south beach where he was getting a heat from the bonfire!
• Kidd invited me over to his house. He decided to tell me about his bidet. I won a game of High Card, Low Card and won a Plain paperboy cap. Before I left he gave me a cycling cap.
• Bought 50 turnips from Daisy Mae at 104 bells each.
• Had a look in each house just after 7pm to see which villager was doing DIY, but no-one was taking part in any DIY activities!
• Finally got a bit of time to sort out some of my storage on my islands. A few flights each way and I'm well on my way to sorting it out. A little bit each day should hopefully sort it soon!

Well, it's the 1st of August and I'm really looking forward to my 1st firework show with Buck on Sunday night!

Mailbox

• Al has sent me a Folding floor lamp. A new item to add to my collection!

Daily gifts

• Buck - I went over to Buck's house and suffered from a pang of jealousy, Chow was visiting! Buck kept chasing Chow around the house, Buck, no! I managed to get in between them and gave Buck a Peach surprise box, in return he gave me a Denim cap.
• Al - I got a surprise from Al when he gave me another photo! (Last one was only last Wednesday!) I only gave him a Pear rug today! I've got 5 photos of Al now, and only 3 of Buck!
• Vic - I've given up with him, so I gave him 10 wheat crops and got a Camo tee back.
• Roscoe - Roscoe gave me an Apron after I made him a Palm tree lamp.

Other information

• Buck asked me if he could come over to my house, of course I said yes. We played a game of High Card, Low Card, I won his Alpinist overalls. He was very inquisitive, as he went into every room!
• Vesta was making Potato Galette, a new DIY recipe.
