January 3rd:
  • Clean bedroom
  • Do three loads of laundry (2/3)
  • Clean upstairs shower
  • Vacuum downstairs
  • Mop kitchen, downstairs hallway, both bathrooms (1/4)
  • Empty and reload dishwasher
  • Empty bins (0/5)
  • Make and freeze a batch of bolognese sauce
  • Separate and freeze tuna steaks
  • Use up the leftover sashimi

I didn't get as much done as I wanted to today, but it's not the end of the world. Some were legitimate, such as not having the space to hang the third load of laundry, but I also got distracted by an email containing lots of paperwork. Tomorrow's goals:

January 4th 2024:
  • Call my mum and figure out if she's visiting
  • Complete and return important paperwork (6/6)
  • Do x1 load of laundry
  • Clean upstairs shower
  • Empty bins (5/5)
  • Make and freeze a batch of bolognese sauce
  • Be on time to meet friends for board games → cancelled.
  • Finalise preparations and costume for fancy dress event Friday (2/2)
  • Duolingo (2/2)
  • Clear 5 stages of SW4-II (5/5)

Going to try to get back into this thread this year. (Thanks, Chris, for the reminder!)

Today I:
Got laundry out away
Got Nicholas’ manual and standing wheelchairs adjusted.
Drank some of my water goal (2 of 4 pints) not done yet for the day.

Tomorrow:
Nicholas’ zoom visit for possible spinal stimulation (wish us luck)
Drink 4/4 pints of water
Work on my languages on Duolingo.
Work with Nicholas on his writing

Haven’t posted in here in a while. 👀 I have a bit of stuff I need to get done today, so figured today would be a good day to post in here again. Mostly using this as a sort of reminder for myself of everything I need to do so that I don’t forget anything.

January 4th, 2024
  • Text my dad to kindly remind him to do something after his doctor’s appointment today. ✔️
  • Throw out garbage, get rid of empty recyclables in my room. ✔️
  • Go to my own appointment at 9:10am to get my anti-anxiety meds refilled. ✔️
  • Go shopping after my appointment; pick up otc meds for myself and my mom, a new phone case for my phone (if I can find one I like), a spare pair of headphones for when my current one inevitably breaks, and sticky notes. ✔️
  • Pick up my prescription on the way home. ✔️
  • Put groceries and everything else I get away when I get home. ✔️
  • Put a new bag in my garbage can. ✔️
  • Take my meds. ✔️
  • Sweep/mop the kitchen and hallway.
  • Take down my 2023 calendar.
  • Hang up my 2 new posters.
  • Do my daily self-care tasks. ✔️
  • Take my iron meds a few hours after my anti-anxiety meds. ✔️

January 4th-6th

₊˚✩ Feed the outdoor stray cats, and give them water, too. (ALREADY DONE)

₊˚✩ Go to the store and pick up some essentials.

₊˚✩ Get a gift for my friend's upcoming birthday. (Her birthday isn't 'til the 7th.)

₊˚✩ Try to get up early and celebrate said friend's birthday Saturday at a restaurant that serves breakfast, if I could even attend at all.
(I am so not a morning individual...)

₊˚✩ Take the garbage out to the street for trash day.

₊˚✩ Pick up the Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends-themed Loungefly backpack I ordered back on New Year's Day, I'm expecting it to be delivered at my front lawn today, if I'm not wrong.
I am going to start collecting Loungefly backpacks, their designs are so freaking awesome.

₊˚✩ Pick up my jump from paper backpack I got for Christmas that I had to send to repair on Saturday, I accidentally broke the zipper while closing it.

Paperwork took precedence over fun. Instead I walked my partner halfway there then turned around and bought myself a treat at the supermarket for after I finished the work (took me another 3hrs!). 🥲

January 5th 2024:
  • Check paperwork
  • Clean downstairs bathroom and kitchen (1/2)
  • Meet my mum at the train station at 10AM
  • Attend event 11AM - 1PM
  • Repair tiara (don't ask)
  • Plan concept for & do my girlfriend's make-up approx 5PM
  • Be ready to leave house for 7PM
  • Duolingo (2/2)
  • Clear 5 stages in SW4-II (3/5)
Well, today hasn't gone the way I planned. Not feeling well. 😓

I have to mail something desperately at the post office. I'll have to do it tomorrow. I'm not limited to post office hours since I can use the self-serve kiosk. I'll go tomorrow after work.

Yeah… I never ended up going, LMAO. I’ll go tomorrow for sure. I need more urgency.

January 8th Update: I've gotten the package mailed and obtained a tracking number. Success.

My goal is to read at least 100 pages of the book I'm reading tonight, and I'd also like to watch at least 5 intermediate Dreaming Spanish videos!

Following up on this, I did get Nicholas’ zoom meeting done and we found out that the physical therapist thinks he is an ideal candidate for spinal stimulation. We will go to Florida for a week in late Feb or early March for this therapy, then resume at home for an hour a day.

I only drank half of my water goal that day, but I did meet it the next day.

I didn’t complete my languages or do Nicholas’ writing practice, but I did bake an apple pie that day and work on his sight word flash cards, so that’s something? 😅
