Had the most awful day at work.

I've more or less made peace with the fact I'm disabled and neurodivergent. But today I would have given anything just to feel capable and normal.

I accidentally bit my tongue and it was bleeding. I really hope it recovers because I still don't have health insurance and might not be able to get help if something happens. To make matters worse, a problem I've been dealing with on and off for months started back up at the exact same time, probably because this all happened while I was eating. Without saying much, it is... going to make it really really hard to not accidentally get an infection.

I can relate to this as this happens frequently, but it happened again recently. We’re reading another Shakespeare play, Macbeth, and even though we’re supposed sophomores most people were acting like kindergarteners, not just the boys in my case.

I usually just try to ignore it but it doesn’t really help, especially if it’s supposed to be an activity the entire class has to do.

Anyway, I’m sorry for quoting your post, this just reminds me of how this happens to me all the time.

And finally, minor complaint but I forgot my umbrella in school and I don’t even remember where I left it. I’m not used to having to bring it to school considering this happened twice yesterday.

Coincidentally, our class also went crazy when we had to read Macbeth. Maybe it's just Shakespeare in general being tough for students.

Our teacher gave up and had us read a comic book version of macbeth instead. Everybody was much more engaged.

...I was never taught how to read comics though. He had to sit there and show me.

i just saw a comment on tiktok from someone that said that when they had to have their dog put to sleep, their dog thought that the vet wanted to shake their paw and gave them their paw for the needle and i’m so??? i feel so silly but this actually just shattered me oh my god. literally in tears over this dog and stories of other dogs and cats that i’ve never met and who have long since passed. we literally don’t deserve animals, why can’t they be healthy and live forever : ((((

4.8 earthquake just happened in my area.

I felt it, too. At first I just brushed it off as the upstairs neighbors doing construction work again because it's happened before, but the instant I felt my bed shaking I knew something was different. But again, I dismissed the feeling.

Until suddenly my phone rang loudly from an Emergency Alert siren..... 4.8 earthquake. The news is currently covering it, too.

just experienced my first earthquake and idk whether to be excited or actually scared for once haha

Edit: it's calm now but wow, I'm mostly really fascinated to think that the planet is truly alive right beneath us and anything could quite literally happen at any point, not a damn thing we can do about it. It's incredible.

Three more days and it will be the 1 year anniversary of the worst day of my life. April used to be my favorite month by a huge margin, now it just reminds me of everything I lost.
