    Found this on Neoseeker while looking up what could have happened:
    "note that if you have 8 villagers (or less) and you try to invite a villager from another town you will most likely fail; the game prioritizes in game generated villagers over physically invited neighbors.
    so you'll have to be at 9 villagers to successfully invite a villager on the day they have their things packed up in boxes."

    Hm, maybe you can't ask a villager to move in until the 8th villager has moved in? I've never tried getting a villager to move in with only the starting villagers so I'm not sure how it works or what went wrong, but she should have moved into your town so I'm not sure what happened.

    That's strange. When I have a villager moving to someone's town, I check if it says "moved out" before tting them out to ensure the person has received them. I don't know what happened to her, she should have moved to your town. Did you pick up a voided character somehow? Actually... Did you ask another villager to move in and not plot reset for their house placement before you tried picking up Rosie?

    Since your town is new and you might not have a lot of villagers yet, would you like to do me a favor if you can? I'm wanting to reposition 3 of my neighbors houses which if I do I'll have 7 villager spots open when Punchy leaves so the 16 villager process should go fast. One of my villagers who I didn't want to move is in boxes from me being so careless :c so would you mind holding them for me if you can?

    hey, thank you so much for letting me come in and raid :) Just let me know when your new town is set up and I can bring it all over or you can pick it up or we can trade off to get you some visitor credit for your train station :)

    The house I'm at has internet but I'm not sure how stable it is and I'll probably be here for awhile so if you need me anytime soon :p

    At the moment I don't know who I want as my 10th villager so right now I'm trying to cycle through the villagers I don't like showing up on mainstreet. But if I do find a popular villager in my campsite I'll probably move them in for someone to have when they ask to ping.
