The problem with black is that it only works for certain hybrids. Lilies? Yes. Roses? Yes. Tulips and Cosmos? Not so much.
Pave looks much better with his redesign. The purple background is so pretty! I don't think black is gonna win for the hybrid Cosmo, but who knows?
