hey! if you need help with stuff being held, I can help you out! I just resetted my town myself. it's super empty and all, so you can put stuff just about anywhere at the moment. you might be best off putting most on the beach, though. depending on how long you take, as I've got 2 villagers I'll be taking back from my old town and you wouldn't wanna lose anything. but it might be kind of a pain, as I only have one bridge right now, kind of in an odd spot. if you don't mind that, I'm definitely here to help!
