  • ok yeah
    we're leaving now~
thanks for reading through my essays lol
goodbye and talk to you tuesday <3
    have fun and don't die
    ahahaha
    8 CLASSES WOW
We get a maximum of 6 classes--unless if some of what you have is bouncing between semesters?
Our requirements here are 4 years of English (English 9, 10, 11 or AP Lang, 12 or AP Lit), 2 of a foreign language (BUT THEY ONLY OFFER SPANISH AND LATIN), 4 of Math*, 3 of Science (Biology and Chemistry required), and I think 3 of Social Studies (Civics/Economics taken the same year, US History and then World History). Generally, a Visual/Performing Arts Class can replace a foreign language class.

Math's general progression goes like this for Honors: Pre-Algebra 7th, Geometry 8th, Algebra I S.T.E.M. 9th, Algebra II S.T.E.M. 10th, Pre-Calculus/Trigonometry or AP Stats 11th, and the AP Calculus AB and BC or simply AP Stats in 12th. For non-honors, move everything a year later and then make senior year anything math-related. There are so many classes which are considered math related, ahaha...

Sorry, I practically write essays when it comes to academics ahaha
(2/2) As I was talking about in the "speech," Math and English were basically like Study Hall hours for me. This gave me time to do things like skip classes by proving I knew the content. I got out of 2 years of Math, a year of Science, and a year of English to put me in all these 11th/12th grade classes. I already had gotten out of a year of Spanish (Spanish I 8th grade, test out of Spanish II 8th grade, Spanish III 9th grade).
This gave me a plethora of choices: For Math, AP Stats, AP Calc, or Multivariable Algebra?; for Science: AP Biology, AP Environmental Sciences, AP Physics, or AP Chemistry? English had me automatically put into AP Language and Composition, and Social Studies also immediately put me into AP US History. El Español me colocó en Español IV~
Moral of the story: See if you can test out of classes.

Good luck in Geometry! You take Algebra I or Pre-Algebra last year?

And sorry for the length, ahaha...
(1/2) So, for every Pre-AP class, is there a "normal-level" version of the same class? If so, then Pre-AP is basically Honors out here.
I know that Honors Biology was also called Pre-AP Biology by the teacher more than once.
Try your hardest to get out of 10th grade English. It's so extremely boring (or so I've heard people say; I'm going into 10th grade but skipped 10th grade English lol).
So, we here in Michigan have to do a semester of Civics and one of Economics. Generally, these are fulfilled in the 9th grade; however, there were a few students, me included, who basically decided to screw that and take AP US Government and Politics (a.k.a. Civics on steroids). It was a great class and I actually loved it, ahaha~
Last year (9th grade), I took Honors Biology, Honors Spanish 3, English 9, Band (<3), AP US Government and Politics, and Algebra I S.T.E.M. (or just Honors Algebra I, whichever you prefer).
As a high-schooler you get to do so many things! Your privileges are automatically expanded upon getting into high school--in-school privileges, I mean. You'll have that one class that's always really easy and boring--for me, it was both Math and English--and depending on the teacher, you can practically do whatever--as long as they recognize that you are totally a "master" of the subject. I was able to go out of my Math class to go to a different class to take a test, talk to the teacher, whatever (but this was after having tested out of the next two years, ehehe).
Or you can even be in high school for the experience.
The upperclassmen's very presence will be intimidating at first, but you'll get used to it really fast. And if you're ever bullied, seriously, there are people who will help you in the form of counselors, teachers, or even friends. Every bad experience comes with 5 good ones, and that ratio is only on the worst of days. Let yourself loose and have fun~
    ok so hi
    midnight here

i discovered my parents can literally pause the wi-fi for periods of time, something which presents a dilemma in that i can't do much from the time i go to bed until midnight

    to each their own

ok because i would never do that in real life and would just let it slide but it would bug the heck out of me ahaha

    why should i not?
i bet that was at a low point in your life

    EDIT:
ok yeah my parents are yelling at me ahaha
