  • You will have to share Zeal with me, too, when you are done. I have an extra town, but I still use it for cycling. I think landscaping a second town might be a bit too much for me, heh.

And thank you about the non-hybrids. Yellow cosmos around a yellow bench just makes too much sense.
I love forest towns! Makes me wish there was more variety in tree types and appearances. And man, if pear trees looked in this game the way they do in real life, I would be in awe.

And yeah, the community here and at GameFAQ is the only reason, probably, that I am still playing today. Not sure if you read the story about how, when I was a far more naive player who left the gate open while away, someone came over (someone who participated in one of my giveaways only a few hours before, no less) and wrecked my town: shoveled all bushes, took all hybrids, cut down trees randomly for fun, etc. Anyways, I was ready to quit but then everyone chipped in so quick that my town was not only repaired overnight, but I ended up with even more than was taken from me, including someone who duped a dozen or more Jacob's Ladders for me, and someone who brought me to the hybrid-filled beach at her town and said to take all the hybrids you want.
I am silly for saying I only use hybrids: I forgot about the non-hybrids I surround some benches with, along with the windmill and campsite, heh.
I only use hybrids in my town, too, and have more paths than your old town did. Mostly pink does not sound bad. If you are worried about a 'monotony' of color you might add contrast like white, or maybe have 'feature' areas where suddenly there are black flowers, suddenly there are blue flowers, surrounding something(s) you want to highlight/set apart from the rest of your town. I think black works as a nice contrast to white, albeit one that is not as often used as white.

If you are concerned about bringing back more of that 'natural' feel, you can of course draw from your old town for inspiration. KiloPatches also has a nice natural town: http://www.belltreeforums.com/showthread.php?245704-DREAM-TOWN-CONTEST!-WIN-10-MILLION-BELLS!!!-*SUBMISSIONS-CLOSED-REVIEWS-IN-PROCESS*
There is definitely a bit of melancholy looking back at our towns before the influence of this and other AC communities we joined. There is a bit of 'normative' behavior to be expected when we see what other members and the community in general tends to like and consider a 'good' town.

But I am sure the new town is still yours.

I very much look forward to seeing it.

Thank you for the compliments. The pleasure was all mine going through your town.
From the chess pieces in your house guessing you may be a fan of the game. We should play chess sometimes.

Whew. Hope you enjoyed reading my thoughts as much as I enjoyed browsing your town. Certainly gave me some ideas, and was a most relaxing experience.
I like how the bottom left of your town is like a jogging trail / park filled with sights surrounded by flowers. I think the giant bonfire surrounded by stumps is definitely the highlight of this 'museum' of PWPs.

I would say the only part that confuses me is the menu sign next to Stonehenge. I started looking around for another cafe, heh. 'This menu is so wonderful, but where do I go?'

HAMPHREY! Guess I might not be the only fan of this black, pudgy hamster, heh.

Ooh, a second fountain. I like the exotic path in front of your fountain, surrounding individual bushes. Makes me want to set up a barbecue there, if only it were real life.
Oh, my God! That beautiful menu sign next to your cafe! If this were a contest, you win! And the fountain sculpture: perfect placement! I thought of a fountain in front of town hall, but a fountain sculpture in front of the cafe never entered my mind.

And the yellow bench is well considered three spaces in front of the sign. I imagine this is one of the instances where Isabelle's insistence on the spacing really pays off. It seems a wonderful spot, surrounded by one row of trees on the right, and a row of bushes on the left. Not to mention competing between the smooth sound of the river and the fountain sculpture.

Ah! I almost missed your Zen clock, it was so out of the way. The area surrounding your cafe brings such relaxation.

Oh, Axel, yet another resident fortunate to be just secluded enough to not feel bunched in with everything else in town, surrounded by flowers and next to the raging waterfall. Prime real estate right there, for sure.
What catches my eye next are your rows of lilies (or are they violets?) next to the river. These flowers tend to be overlooked, from my experience. Which works to your advantage because I think their being seldom used really helped draw my attention to them. I met Quillson there; he seemed intent to never leave that patch of flowers. They must smell great.

That grove of fruit trees separating your Re-Tail and police station from the house and campsite was neat, and I suspected you may not be surprised that I love seeing a grove with different fruits.

I am just imagining being a resident in this east part of your town, with a scatter of trees or bamboo surrounded by thick patches of flowers all next to the ocean and river, and the last next to a waterfall. Ah, paradise.
The flower clock! Most people definitely like to show off the clock in a prominent place. What caught my eye, though, was the diagonal path next to the clock. Oh, that reminds me: I love your minimalistic use of paths! Most well planned towns I go to use paths so heavily, even covering their grass. I am glad to visit only my second town recently that is well planned but does not rely on paths.

And I just caught your mayor walking up to the flower clock. Apparently, she has an Xbox live account. Unfortunately, I only have a PS3 and Wii U.

Ooh, that water fountain. I love the two paths leading up to it and lined with three rows of different colored pansies, and the grove of perfect apple trees. Even though this is next to the train station, there is a sense of seclusion to it, wow.

I am glad to see the stone tablet, and what a nice place for it. With mine nestled deep in a grove, I had forgotten how pretty the tablet looks.
(Glad you like the pyramid, heh. I imagine some people might be taken aback by a pyramid that is not in a desert, as if pyramids are not also found in the forests in the Americas.) Continuing review...

I get the same feeling with your Zen bell (it being a monument). I love how you manage to make the surroundings give an 'air' of importance to the PWP, without necessarily being extravagant with the bushes and flowers, worrying about symmetrical arrangement, etc. In other words, the surroundings feel modest, but they do not feel rushed.

I suppose it may be unfortunate for one of your houses to be stuck in the shadow of the town hall, heh, thought I would not mind waking up to the sound of that pond each morning.

That flag on your town hall really 'pops'! It feels like some kind of experimental artwork. I am imagining a teenage artist smoking his cigarette, ranting about 'the man,' his thick facial hair getting him unfairly profiled for drugs.
When I entered your dream town, my first thought was that I had seen a few towns that use bamboo to surround the plaza, and also that make use of the wood path. But what caught me off guard and brought a smile to my face was the hammock surrounded by cosmos only a few steps down. What a wonderful 'nook' you made so close to that waterfall.

I then met with 'angelic' Tony in that small field of white roses, and the message was the next thing to catch me off guard. I am not sure what the story is, but there is a hint of something sad, but also sweet.

The surroundings of your cube sculpture may not have been symmetrical, but it is lovely, and it gives off an 'air' that... this is a monument, such as for a villager who left. I like how the pansies of different colors stand on each side, nestled snug with those bushes on the left, as if border to a natural path leading to the sculpture.
Yeah, I like a similar shade of green... I cannot remember the name, but I have seen it on a few of those vintage American muscle cars. Mint green maybe?

Awesome; so relieved you like the town. Not sure if you saw the blue roses I added along the southwest path, and the purple roses and tulips I added next to the pyramid, as those are probably the latest changes I made.

And I would love to give my thoughts on your town (and please let me know when you updated, as I would love to see your latest town, too). As for my thoughts, might take a few VMs, so hope you do not mind.
Yay, glad you like it. And yeah, those box couches look beautiful after you refurbish them (sorry to say I am not a fan of the faded green color it starts with).

As part of a school lobby or library sounds great!

I updated about two days ago. I was gonna wait until after I nurse Bonbon back to health before updating again, but since you are interested in taking a look, I updated my DA a moment ago (5700-3570-3727).

Do you have a DA, too?
Could I take you up on your offer and buy some more flowers??
I can take 2 bushels of p. peaches, also do you have any other rose hybrids?
I will take some carnations as well but really need rose hybrids. :D
If you ever need any item, please let me know. Always willing to return the favor.
    Hi.

Thank you so much for offering to order in and bring over the box corner sofa. Please let me know if you would be interested in getting any Saharah items in return, as my locker is stacked with them, and I have no use for them.

I will add your FC now.

Edit: Think I may have missed you, but added your FC and am at the train station. I will keep checking in to make sure I do not take too long to respond.

    Regards,
    Kevin
