  • jesus ****ing christ i finally saw a sectopod today and holy **** are these things huge. love the haywire protocol skill though.

    psi ops are so op its crazy. right now i have one with every single skill unlocked and dominate is insanely powerful. might even consider adding a 2nd psi op to my team. i run one of each class with two specialists, one dedicated to healing and defense and the other being the hacker/combat.

    also combat protocol is pretty useful tbh for finishing off enemies.

    i saw some people dissing sharpshooter and imo sharpshooter becomes one of the most powerful classes in the endgame with serial. im able to clean up a whole pod using the sharpshooter and i have the rifle upgraded with like, extended clip and free autoreload its crazy. like i could clean up like two pods in one turn if i wanted to.
    i swear half cover means jack **** this time, if my soldiers are in half cover they almost always get shot anyway.

    i actually dont mind the timers, i can manage them and usually i have 1-2 turns to spare. however i really hate the avatar project clock.

    i had a berserker run up to my ranger who had some close combat skill activate.. and she missed.. and then someone who was in a position to flank the berserker missed at like frigging 95%. and then even my sniper couldnt shoot him. and then when i used the ranger's shotgun she somehow missed. i got so mad i just quit and took a break smh

    the slime dudes scare me tbh. also how do you get psi operatives i havent unlocked them yet. im assuming i have to build the proving grounds?
    jesus christ this is more brutal than the last xcom. i love it so far, and i like how they gave the civvies that die actual names. makes it feel more meaningful i didnt get to save neil nelson
