You said 'そうですか' when I explained about ほそみち. Your reply was 'そうですか。ありがとうございます'.
'そうですか' sometimes implies you do not have much interest about the things you heard. It depends on situation and context though.
'なるほど' means 'Oh I see!'. It implies you are grateful hearing that.
Also 'なるほど' is rather casual expression than 'そうですか'.
So in this case, it's rather better to use 'なるほど' than 'そうですか'. 'なるほど。ありがとう。' is the most natural expression, I guess.

You need to go into Able's with the character that will have the patterns. Make a fake one - like all blue or something. Then I don't remember how, but you can get the info on the pattern. I need the code. That is what says it is you and your town. Then find me links to the hogwarts shirts you want. I have to open the QR Code in the app, change the creator to your code and then give you the new QR Code. Sounds complicated but it isn't too bad once I have all of the pieces.

ほそみち or 細道 means narrow path.
'細' that pronounce 'ほそ'(hoso) means 'narrow'.
And '道' that pronounce 'みち'(michi) means 'path', 'alley', 'sidewalk' or just 'way'.
