It takes 3-4hours depending on traffic, I went there when I was a little kid, so I don't really remember it. It is just a big city (not crazy big though). Texas doesn't really have any cities or places that attracts people from out of state to come vacation lol; only Texas people go to Austin, San Antonio, South Padre, or Houston for short trips.
