I'll never forget this explanation I once read about how sakura is regarded in Japan: as a lesson about how beautiful, yet so fragile life is. A reminder that life is so beautiful, but also very short. Is that true?
For me it reminds me that spring is finally back, I always have a hard time with winter (after Christmas) because the days are so short and dark.. So when those first spring days are there and the blossoms are blooming, it reminds me that even after this dark long period which seems to never end, the sun is ready to shine & blossoms will bloom. Year after year after year. There's always light after darkness.
