Hey there! you're offline right now but i thought of chatting you up to let you know that my exams are finished, and it was excellent, so now i can lay back and be more active in the forums again!
Ohhh, the ume look beautiful too! I guess I don't even know the difference between the different blossom trees.. We don't have that many where I live, sometimes I see that someone has planted a few in their garden and it is so pretty! We also have a few lanes that are lined with them, they are the prettiest when everything is in bloom.

ikr, but its not as hard as it sounds. the period is 40 days long, but the fasting is usually only at the beginning and the end, and its not even real fasting, its usually just having one full meal on those days and two small snacks.
the abstinence from meat is just on Fridays, but fish is not considered meat for these purposes.
the other things during the forty days are an extra focus on prayers, penance, and giving alms!
