Maybe pink cosmos, orange tulips, and purple roses? That would probably look pretty nice together Are you doing natural paths or did you lay down a bunch of paths?

I agree! Set places for the villagers to move into would be so much nicer! It was in older games, I wonder why they took it out of New Leaf...? Stupid game developers! I tried laying down some side walk patterns once and it was incredibly tedious :/
