Because I like the color red? Besides, I had a Gameboy Advance SP before which was red and I really liked it.

You?All my handhelds are black.And I have a DS lite,DSi,and a 3DS. And I always get them when they are pretty much 2 available colors (except for my DS lite).It just seems to be a great color for a handheld,and for other things to since black has been all the rage lol.
But yeah,Either You get Black or White,Shade or Tint....white is a bright color,but you might want all your handhelds to be a unique color so you could get a black 3DS.
I would definatly get a yellow one if the was one, even though I already have a black one.
I would love to have a purple one lol.

just thought I chime in, the purple and green colors do exist, they just aren't available to buy.
What about Orange?Good,I saw your 3DS message on the Ice white 3DS last week.I immediately googled it and found out about Steam Pink also.It would be nice if there was a Green one also,maybe called Lush Green or something like that.They should also make purple and Yellow also so that there is a great variety of colors that you can choose from. -
