Haha aha, yeah. I felt as though I was isolated and wondered if everyone else but me in the US were able to connect with each other. ^^; Hope it solves soon.
I wasn't able to. And it seems like it's happening to everyone outside Japan. I'm assuming so because I was able to visit my friend's town who lives in Japan, and my old friend from England told me that he's getting the same issue right now.
i'll try and re-open my gate again, see if that will work.
